SUMMARY:Nitzer Ebb - West Palm Beach - 11/19/21
DESCRIPTION:Heroes Live Entertainment presents Nitzer Ebb with special guests Alpha Quadrant and DJ Paul Klov @ Respectable Street in West Palm Beach.\n\n\nTickets: https://nitzerebb.eventbrite.com\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin in the chant! The British pioneers of EBM return to South Florida! \nBritain’s Nitzer Ebb are one of the most influential acts associated with the EBM (electronic body music) scene\, as well as alternative dance in general. Since the early ’80s\, the group\, led by enthusiastic frontman Douglas McCarthy\, have produced an aggressive\, visceral brand of electronic music influenced by German industrial and new wave groups like Die Krupps and D.A.F. The group remains best known for the classic “Join in the Chant\,” a single taken from 1987’s That Total Age that became a staple of dance clubs from Ibiza to Detroit. Subsequent albums such as 1991’s Ebbhead displayed more of an interest in pop songcraft\, and found some success on alternative radio. Nitzer Ebb broke up following 1995’s Big Hit\, which featured a greater presence of non-electronic instruments\, but they reunited over a decade later\, as their influence on newer generations of industrial and hard-edged techno artists continued to grow. After Industrial Complex appeared in 2010\, Nitzer Ebb went on hiatus again\, but they re-formed with all of their founding members in 2018 for a tour and retrospective box set. \nFormed in Chelmsford\, Essex\, in 1982 by vocalist Douglas McCarthy\, drummer Bon Harris\, and keyboard player David Gooday\, the group began experimenting with synthesizers and drum pads\, fusing the bandmembers’ affinity for dark goth and punk rock with the emerging technology. A demo cassette titled Basic Pain Procedure appeared in 1983. After several popular shows around London during 1984\, PWL producer Phil Harding began working with Nitzer Ebb and recorded their first single\, “Isn’t It Funny How Your Body Works\,” which appeared on the band’s Power of Voice Communications label in 1985. Three more singles followed during 1985-1986 before Nitzer Ebb signed to Mute in late 1986; the first Mute recordings were the singles “Murderous” and “Let Your Body Learn” in early 1987\, just before the release of their debut album\, That Total Age. After the single “Join in the Chant” was remixed by producer Flood (Nick Cave\, Erasure)\, it became one of the crucial tracks in the growing alternative/Balearic dance scene\, played out alongside Chicago house\, Detroit techno\, and Northern soul. \nAfter the release of That Total Age\, Nitzer Ebb toured Europe with Depeche Mode\, and the latter band’s pop sensibilities appeared to inspire them. By the time of their second album\, Belief\, Gooday had disappeared (to be replaced by Julian Beeston) and Flood had taken over the producer’s role from Harding\, nudging Nitzer Ebb closer to the dancefloor and shearing away the militaristic bent of much of their earlier recordings. Singles like “Hearts and Minds\,” “Shame\,” and “Lightning Man” were loaded with the cold aggression of earlier recordings\, working well on dancefloors as well as college radio stations; the 1990 single “Fun to Be Had” even reached number two on the dance charts. The following year’s Ebbhead further consolidated their position with alternative audiences\, with at least two well-known singles\, “I Give to You” and “Godhead.” \nNitzer Ebb virtually disappeared from active music-making for the next four years\, finally reappearing in 1995 with their fifth (and least industrial-sounding) album\, Big Hit. The group became inactive\, but McCarthy became a regular collaborator with Alan Wilder’s Recoil project\, and formed the duo Fixmer/McCarthy with techno producer Terence Fixmer. The compilation Body of Work 1984-1997 appeared in 2006 and was immediately followed by set of new remixes titled Body Rework. After a reunion tour to support the releases proved successful\, the group began working on new material. In January of 2010 they released Industrial Complex\, their first studio album in 15 years and their first for the Alpha Matrix label. Nitzer Ebb then toured with Die Krupps\, issuing the joint EP Join in the Rhythm of Machines in 2011. The following year\, Basic Pain Procedure was reissued by Pylon Records. \nBox Set [1982-2010] was released in 2018\, containing double-LP reissues of Nitzer Ebb’s five albums for Mute\, as well as empty slots for their other two full-lengths\, which remained in print. Additionally\, the band’s original lineup began performing for the first time since 1987. \n\n\n\n\n\n–\n\n\nNitzer Ebb\nWebsite: http://nitzer-ebb-produkt.com\nFacebook: https://facebook.com/NitzerEbbProduktTour\nInstagram: https://instagram.com/nitzer_ebb_produkt\nTwitter: https://twitter.com/N_E_Produkt\n\n\n  \nSupport: \nAlpha Quadrant \n\n\n\nSynth-wave-pop-tech-core-step duo with a penchant for 80s/early 90s aesthetique\, shiny outfits\, Sci-Fi\, and other nerdly/life things. \nWebsite: https://alphaquadrantofficial.bandcamp.com\nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/alphaquadrantofficial\nInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/alphaqdrnt\nTwitter: https://twitter.com/ALPHAQDRNT \nand DJ Paul Klov (Bohemia AG) will be spinning industrial and EBM to get you on the dancefloor.

SUMMARY:Eyehategod: A History of Nomadic Behavior Tour + Ether Coven + Seven Serpents - West Palm Beach - 10/24/21
DESCRIPTION:Heroes Live Entertainment presents EYEHATEGOD with Ether Coven and Seven Serpents @ Respectable Street in West Palm Beach. \n\nTickets: https://eyehategod2021.eventbrite.com\n\nNew Orleans’ EYEHATEGOD is the snarling\, bilious sound of dead-end America. Since 1988\, they’ve been a soundtrack for the troubled masses. Ugly music for ugly times. That’s the sense of disenchantment and disease that lies at the heart of their latest and sixth full-length album\, A History of Nomadic Behavior. Anyone familiar with EHG’s story knows this is survivor’s music\, a sound unto itself where Sabbathian riffs are meted out with caustic anger that goes beyond punk. That’s been the blueprint since guitarist Jimmy Bower (also of NOLA supergroup\, Down) founded the band in 1988 with vocalist Michael IX Williams joining not long after. With a discography including sludge-punk mainstays like In the Name of Suffering (1990)\, Take as Needed for Pain (1993) Dopesick (1996)\, or 2014’s eponymously-titled LP\, released in the US through Housecore Records\, EHG laid the cracked foundation for their infamous and influential sound. A History of Nomadic Behavior finds the band\, now slimmed to a four-piece rounded out by bassist Gary Mader and drummer Aaron Hill\, leaner and meaner than ever; road-hardened by recent tours with Black Label Society\, Corrosion of Conformity and Napalm Death in the US\, and abroad. From the bitter pill of opener “Built Beneath the Lies” to the hypnotic haze of closer “Every Thing\, Every Day” it’s clear that EYEHATEGOD hasn’t slowed or mellowed with time. In fact\, it’s quite the opposite. This is disorienting\, uneasy listening. Music that still very much hurts. \n“The quintessential Southern sludge band” – PITCHFORK \n“This [is] a band built on a narrative about doing the opposite of what it thought people wanted: playing slow and messy music in a fast and virtuosic time\, the 1980s speed-metal moment.” – NY TIMES \n“…True musical pioneers in every sense of the word.” – THRASHER MAGAZINE \nROLLING STONE: \nTake As Needed For The Pain – #92 on the “Greatest Metal Albums of All Time” list \nOne of “America’s great live bands” \nEYEHATEGOD\nWebsite: http://eyehategod.ee/\nFacebook: http://facebook.com/OfficialEyeHateGod/\nInstagram: http://instagram.com/EyehategodNola\nTwitter: http://twitter.com/EyehategodNola \nSupport: \nEther Coven\nWebsite: https://ethercoven.bigcartel.com\nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/EtherCoven\nInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/ethercoven/\nBandcamp: https://ethercoven.bandcamp.com \n\n\nSeven Serpents\nWebsite: https://linktr.ee/Sevenserpents\nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/sevenserpents666\nInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/sevenserpents/\nBandcamp: https://sevenserpents.bandcamp.com \n

The band of four teenagers from Hershey\, Pennsylvania quickly achieved widespread acclaim and radio & MTV airplay\, with top 10 Modern Rock/College Radio hits like Between Something and Nothing and Drifting\, Falling. They followed their debut release with the subtle and atmospheric Cerulean\, which included perhaps their most beloved song\, Ballerina Out of Control\, and followed that with their highest charting pop album Beneath the Rhythm and Sound and the single Sublime\, featuring a video of the band in the sublime landscape of Iceland. The band’s fourth record for Mercury/PolyGram\, See The Ocean Blue\, was a departure to a more guitar rock sound of the 60s and 70s\, but with the band’s 80s DNA peeking through. After a busy decade of recording and touring\, the band left the majors in the late 90s. Several independent releases and related touring followed in the 2000s\, including 2000’s Davy Jones Locker and 2004’s Waterworks EP\, and some wider international touring. In 2013\, after much anticipation\, the band released their first full length record in over 10 years\, Ultramarine\, on Korda Records\, a Minneapolis-based label cooperative label the band helped launch that same year. The record was a welcome return for fans of the band and a younger generation of fans\, and garnered widespread praise as one of their very best albums. In 2015\, the band worked with Sire and Rhino Records to reissue their first 3 Sire albums on vinyl. The band marked the occasion by performing the first 2 albums in their entirety at limited concerts throughout the U.S. In 2016\, the band did a full South American Tour where some of their most passionate fans reside. \nThe band has now returned with their signature dream pop sound on the beautifully powerful Kings and Queens / Knaves and Thieves. Out now on Korda Records. See the band on tour in 2019-2021. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSupport: \nSweet Bronco\nWebsite: https://sweetbronco.bandcamp.com\nTumblr: https://sweetbronco.tumblr.com\nFacebook: https://facebook.com/sweetbronco\nInstagram: https://instagram.com/sweetbronco\nTwitter: https://twitter.com/sweetbronco \n  \n

It inspires me and it inspires others\,” declares Terri Nunn\, the charismatic and enigmatic singer of L.A.’s iconic synth electro-pop pioneers\, BERLIN. \nBERLIN will forever be recognized as the American progenitor of electro-pop artistry with sensually appealing lyrics. Few bands emerging from the era of BERLIN have achieved as far-reaching and long-lasting an impact and\, rarely\, such a timeless array of musical grooves. The Los Angeles-based band made its first national impression with the provocative single “Sex (I’m A…)” from the platinum-selling debut EP Pleasure Victim in 1982. “The Metro” and “No More Words” were also chart toppers\, but it was the unforgettable\, intimate\, and strikingly beautiful love song\, “Take My Breath Away” that took the band to another level. The ballad’s defining role in the Tom Cruise film\, Top Gun\, helped solidify BERLIN’s everlasting place in American pop-culture. The song was a #1 international hit and received both the Golden Globe and Academy Award for “Best Original Song” in 1986. \nThe band released its seventh studio album\, Animal\, in 2013. Animal explored contemporary electronic dance music while remaining true to the groundbreaking sound and Nunn’s signature vocals that continue to define BERLIN. Animal was the result of Nunn’s re-ignited love affair with current electronic music\, and the feeling that BERLIN could make a unique statement in the EDM [electronic dance music] milieu. “It’s still my favorite medium. I’ve loved it since I met John [Crawford\, original Berlin bassist) in 1979\, when he wanted to bring electronic music to America\, because it wasn’t here yet\,” she recalls. “What it’s morphing into is exciting me so much\, I was motivated to look for songwriting partners to help us initial impression on the music world in 1982\, with their seductive single\, “Sex (I’m A…)\,” from the platinum- certified debut EP Pleasure Victim. BERLIN’s first full length LP\, Love Life\, hit in 1984 and was certified gold. In 1986\, BERLIN topped the charts with the unforgettable\, intimate and strikingly beautiful love song\, “Take My Breath Away.” The ballad’s defining role in the Tom Cruise film Top Gun has also helped solidify BERLIN’s everlasting place in American pop-culture. Nunn’s ongoing influence earned her the #11 spot on VH1.com’s “100 Greatest Women in\nRock\,” while\, as an actress\, she played leading roles in films including Katie: Portrait of a Centerfold with Kim Basinger\, and Thank God It’s Friday with Jeff Goldblum and Debra Winger. \nCurrently\, Nunn is recording a brand new BERLIN studio album with her original BERLIN band members and co-writers\, John Crawford (bass) and David Diamond (keyboards). The album is scheduled for release in mid 2019. The album is being produced by Australian producers Andy and Thom Mak. The album marks the first collaboration by Nunn\, Crawford and Diamond since Love Life\, the third BERLIN album\, released in 1984. \nVideo was very important to early hits like “Sex (I’m A…)” and “The Metro”— has also taken on new meaning for BERLIN. “YouTube is the new MTV\,” Nunn notes. “We used to spend so much money on mini movies\, but now all you need is a good HD camera and a guy who knows some lighting. Online is where people go to see and hear music— it’s free and it’s easy and so wonderful.” Nunn’s honesty and infectious enthusiasm carries through every aspect of Animal\, which she views as an entirely new chapter. “I always looked at music as passion. All we can do is appreciate that people’s passion is so strong for music… I feel it too\, it’s part of my DNA\, and I love what I grew up with. What I learn as I get older\,” she concludes\, “is that it’s not about money or ‘making it.’ Sure\, they’re fun games\, but it’s about connection\, that’s where the real joy\, passion and bliss comes from\, and music is such a huge part of connecting people. It’s the way… to bliss.” \nBERLIN’s discography has yielded twelve gold and platinum album awards. The band—founded by Nunn\, bassist John Crawford\, and keyboard player David Diamond—made its everlasting place in American pop-culture. Nunn’s ongoing influence earned her the #11 spot on VH1.com’s “100 Greatest Women in Rock\,” while\, as an actress\, she played leading roles in films including Katie: Portrait of a Centerfold with Kim Basinger\, and Thank God It’s Friday with Jeff Goldblum and Debra Winger. Along with comedienne\, Wendy Liebman\, Nunn also previously hosted the critically acclaimed radio show Unbound with Terri Nunn on 88.5 FM KCSN Los Angeles. \nDespite her many creative outlets\, music\, BERLIN and touring remain Nunn’s first love. Nunn\, a rabid music fan\, was inspired by Fleetwood Mac’s “Rhiannon” and her discovery of the LA club scene\, starting with the band\, X. Looking back\, she recalls her own early musical dreams. “I remember going to a Rolling Stones concert at the Rose Bowl\, and I couldn’t believe they did 2 1⁄2 hours of songs and I knew every single one! That’s a legacy\, a body of work that has mattered to people. That’s what I aspired to\,” she says. “Of course\, no way am I close to that body of work\, but I have a number of songs that people love that much\, and they come to hear Berlin over and over. I’m so grateful for that.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\nhttps://heroesliveent.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Berlin-BC-V2.mp4\n  \n  \n\n\n\nBig Country\nWebsite: http://bigcountry.co.uk/\n\n\nFacebook: https://facebook.com/inabigcountry\n\n\nTwitter: http://twitter.com/bigcountryuk\n\n\nInstagram: https://instagram.com/bigcountryofficial\n\n\n \n\n\n\nBig Country was originally formed in 1981 by guitar playing founder members Stuart Adamson and Bruce Watson both native of the band’s hometown Dunfermline in Scotland. \nInitially driven by a shared vision of widescreen guitar melody\, harmony and lyric\, the classic Big Country sound was further enhanced later that summer by the arrival of drummer Mark Brzezicki and bass player Tony Butler. This is the Big Country that (with producer Steve Lillywhite)\, recorded the classic debut album ‘The Crossing’ in 1983. \nThe band broke massively worldwide with the release of the album’s classic singles ‘Fields Of Fire’\, ‘Chance’ and signature song ‘In A Big Country’\, which went on to become massive worldwide hits\, selling over 2 million copies and driving ‘The Crossing’ to 3 prestigious Grammy nominations in the USA. \nThe run of success continued throughout the 1980′s with the release of the anthemic single ‘Wonderland’ and the second album ‘Steeltown’ (1984)\, which debuted at Number 1 in the UK and contained the hit singles ‘East Of Eden\, ‘Just a Shadow’ and ‘Where The Rose Is Sown’ . In 1985\, Big Country appeared at Live Aid in London followed by further successful album releases ‘The Seer’ (1986\, which included the bands biggest UK hit ‘Look Away’\, which also reached Number 1 in the Irish Singles chart) and ‘Peace In Our Time’ (1988)\, which saw the band playing the first ever privately promoted gig in Russia at the Moscow Sports Stadium. \nAt the start of the 90’s ‘Through A Big Country’\, featuring all the bands classic hits was released\, followed by the fifth studio album ‘No Place Like Home’ (1991) taking the band’s total record sales to well over five million copies. \nFurther studio albums Buffalo Skinners (1993) and ‘Why The Long Face (1995) followed\, which saw Big Country landing the special guest slot on the Rolling Stones ‘Voodoo Lounge’ European tour and several shows in the UK and Ireland with Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page and Robert Plant in 1995. \nIn August 1998 they were once again invited to open for the Rolling Stones on their ‘Bridges To Babylon” tour of Europe prompting Mick Jagger to say that Big Country were “one of the best opening bands we ever had”. \nTwo songs written at that time (‘Somebody Else’ and ‘Devil In The Eye’) were co-written with Ray Davies of The Kinks who invited the band to back him on the main stage at Glastonbury to perform a storming set in the rain. \nBy now singer Stuart Adamson had relocated to Nashville\, Tennessee and so his fellow bandmates decamped to America to join him in writing and recording the album ‘Driving To Damascus’. It would be the last album they recorded together. With Stuart at the helm\, Big Country\, scored 17 top 30 UK singles achieving 5 gold and platinum status albums along the way. Stuart and Big Country would tour Europe one final time in 2000 and on the closing night at their beloved Barrowlands in Glasgow the band were fatefully joined on stage for one last song by Alarm singer Mike Peters and Bruce Watson’s son Jamie on guitar. \nOn December 16th 2001\, Stuart Adamson took his own life in Honolulu\, USA. He is survived by his children Callum and Kirsten. A celebration of Stuart’s life was held at Glasgow Barrowlands in May 2002 featuring the remaining members of Big Country with special guest vocalists including Mike Peters who would also sing with the band at a fan club convention in Zaandam\, Holland. \nThe remaining three members had no real thoughts of performing as Big Country again. But\, Tony Butler\, Mark Brzezicki and Bruce Watson re-united in 2007 to celebrate the band’s Twenty-fifth anniversary. “It wasn’t a come-back… it was just the three of us having fun\, as friends and as a band\, and hoping to give the fans some enjoyment by playing our songs live\, to celebrate 25 years” – Bruce Watson \nIn the summer of 2010\, Bruce Watson finally picked up the phone and asked Mike Peters to do what he had previously been reluctant to do and sing with Big Country officially. In order to celebrate 30 years since the band was formed\, Mike (a longstanding friend of Stuart’s who credits the words of ‘In A Big Country’ as literally inspiring him to ‘Stay Alive’ through two very public cancer battles)\, instinctively agreed and dates were booked. The first was fittingly in Glasgow\, Scotland on New Years Eve 2010 and the second in the band’s hometown of Dunfermline. There was instant chemistry with the band also being joined by Bruce Watson’s son Jamie on guitar as Big Country again sought solace in the music and the freedom to express their love and admiration for their departed friend Stuart Adamson (who’s usual space at the centre of the stage was left symbolically vacant). \n“When we are playing it is as if we never stopped\, but I know we have\, I know we suffered a great loss. But you heal . . . slowly. I can assure you that Stuart will be there with us every night\, in our thoughts\, in our words\, and in our hearts. And now we find ourselves maybe not fully healed\, but whole enough to hear the calling to continue this story. And time has made me realise that this story has always been about our fans\, the love we have for our fans\, and the love they have selflessly given us back.” – Bruce Watson \n“When Bruce Watson called and asked me to sing for Big Country it was something I didn’t need to think twice about. It’s been an incredible honour getting to know the music of Big Country intimately and a pleasure to be around such great musicians and fans alike. I find singing the lyrics of Stuart Adamson very life affirming” – Mike Peters \nTwo years of intense and emotional shows followed with the ‘new’ Big Country fuelled by a renewed energy and once again revelling in the dreams and visions that had brought them together in the first place\, finding instant and respectful acceptance by fans and critics alike. Since then\, the band have performed at many of the UK and Europe’s most famous festivals\, including Isle Of Wight (Twice)\, V Festival\, T In The Park\, Oxegen\, Pink Pop and Cropredy creating a new generation of fans and renewing the passion for diehards with the introduction of new original songs such as ‘Another Country’ and ‘The Journey’ which encapsulate not only the sound but the heart and soul of Big Country past\, present and future. \nWith the promise of a new era dawning for the band and the realisation that Big Country now have the platform to once again record and tour on a world wide scale\, bassist Tony Butler has decided that his time in Big Country has come to a close and so he has retired gracefully from the stage. The band now welcomes Scott Whitley on bass. \nIn April 2013\, Big Country released The Journey and toured across the globe in support of this highly acclaimed album throughout the year. \nComing into 2014\, new challenges arose for Big Country. With Mike Peters dedicating his efforts full-time towards the support of the 30th Anniversary of The Alarm’s Declaration\, Big Country have been joined by Simon Hough to perform vocal duties. He has fit in perfectly as the band continues its touring throughout the year that Big Country celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the release of the album\, ‘Steeltown’. 2015 sees a massive Best Of (and more) tour of the UK and Europe\, during which\, Scott Whitley joined the band on bass\, following Derek’s departure after 3 years. With 2016 comes the 30th Anniversary of ‘The Seer’ with the album being performed in its entirety on tour.

SUMMARY:Black Lips **Record Release Show** + Plastic Pinks + Palomino Blond + DJ sets by Danny Kokomo of Jacuzzi Boys - Miami - 1/24/20
DESCRIPTION:Heroes Live Entertainment presents Black Lips **Record Release Show** w/Plastic Pinks\, Palomino Blond & DJ sets by Danny Kokomo of Jacuzzi Boys. Party with one of the Peach State’s wildest bands! \n\nTickets: https://blacklipsmiami.eventbrite.com\n\n\n\n\n\nThe story of the Black Lips began in Dunwoody\, Georgia\, a quiet\, conservative suburb of Atlanta\, in the year 1999. Born of a mutual love of Link Wray\, The Stooges\, and The Ramones\, and sealed through a shared dedication to defiance\, the band formed after childhood friends Jared Swilley and Cole Alexander were kicked out of Dunwoody High for separate\, yet equally bad\, behavior. The former classmates took their love of music and restless energy and channeled it into their newly found free time\, and joined by friends Ben Eberbaugh and Joe Bradley\, the Black Lips started playing shows around Atlanta\, at house parties and bars. They spent this time honing their sound – garage rock infused with blues\, psychedelia\, and punk\, plus a healthy dose of reckless abandon – and released their first 7-inch\, “Ain’t Coming Back\,” in 2002 on Die Slaughterhouse records (named in homage to the flophouse den they called home). Shortly before the band was set to head out on their first ever national tour\, Eberbaugh was tragically killed by a drunk driver. Devastated but determined to carry on in Eberbaugh’s honor\, the Black Lips hit the road as a trio just a few days later. \nIt’s been 15 years\, but that passionate dedication to touring has never left the band. The Black Lips have released eight full-length albums since that first tour\, and have traveled the country and the world extensively\, making a name for themselves as an electrifying\, must-see live act. It helps that the same mischievous spirit that helped speed up their exit from the educational system is still very much alive\, thriving in its new environment on stage\, resplendent with punk rock theatrics and miscellaneous bodily fluids\, amongst other things. The band’s energy and unique “flower punk” sound helped them build a rabid fan base\, and after releasing their first two albums through Bomp!\, they put out the critically celebrated Let It Bloom on In The Red records. This record garnered the Black Lips features in Spin and Rolling Stone\, and they were soon signed to Vice Records\, subsequently releasing Los Valientos Del Mundo Nuevo\, an ambitious album recorded live at a bar in Tijuana\, Mexico\, in February of 2007. \nIn their decade-long tenure with Vice\, the Black Lips have evolved from wildly crooning over fuzzy\, raucous music at house shows full of kids to wildly crooning over fuzzy\, raucous music at international festivals in front of thousands of fans. They have toured consistently\, with their zeal for travel taking them all over the world\, and not without some international adventure: In 2009 the Black Lips went on their first (and last) tour of India\, playing shows in Bangalore and Mumbai before chaos struck in Chennai after the band ditched their toned-down presence in favor of classic Black Lips capers\, including some not so well received Lips-locking. After the same sex smooching and also Alexander baring his butt to the rowdy crowd\, the tour’s sponsors pulled out and the band was nearly jailed\, their passports confiscated by the disgruntled promoters. According to Swilley: “The first few shows\, we were being really reserved because we didn’t want to offend anyone\, but they kept telling us to do what we wanted…I guess “do whatever you want” didn’t include kissing each other\, and I think Cole mooned the crowd\, which is a huge no-no. We had to physically wrestle our passports back from the promoters. It was the scariest 15 hours of my life\, but we got out of there.” The band ended up taking a 200 mile cab ride to the next province and hopped a flight to Berlin\, narrowly escaping Indian prison. \nUndeterred\, the band jumped at the chance to become the first Western punk band to tour another notoriously conservative continent\, the Middle East\, just a few years later. Why? “It was important for a number of reasons\,” Swilley says of the tour. “We’ve always wanted to push boundaries of where we go. Plus\, a lot of people told us we couldn’t do it\, and anytime someone tells us we can’t do something\, then we kind of have to. We have O.D.D\, oppositional defiance disorder.” This time\, their shows went off without a hitch\, and Black Lips played shows for crowds in Jordan\, Cyprus\, Egypt\, Lebanon\, Iraqi Kurdistan\, and the United Arab Emirates in 2011 in support of that year’s release of their record Arabia Mountain\, produced by Mark Ronson. The title was actually a reference to a mountain in Georgia\, but that didn’t stop the Lips from playing the record all over the Middle East\, to enthused fans and without causing any further international incidents. “Everyone was really nervous about us going there\, but it really went off without a hitch\,” adds Swilley. The band also hasn’t abandoned plans to become the first rock band to play on all seven continents\, hoping to hit their last remaining one\, Antarctica in the near future\, and disregarding Metallica’s claim of this achievement: “Just when we were securing the funding\, Metallica sniped us. They took a boat\, probably a gold plated Versace boat\, down there. But they actually didn’t play on land\, and they didn’t play with amps\, so technically they haven’t played Antarctica. Metallica hasn’t beat us yet.” \nFor their ninth studio album\, the Black Lips have teamed up with Sean Lennon\, who got on board to produce Satan’s graffiti or god’s art? in 2016. The Black Lips had formerly worked with Lennon on Arabia Mountain\, where Lennon played theramin on several tracks. The band moved up to Lennon’s studio compound on a remote farm in upstate New York\, and spent several months living and breathing the new record. This removal from the outside world\, plus the return of beloved early guitarist Jack Hines and the exciting addition of new members Oakley Munson on drums and Zumi Rosow (the first female Black Lip) on saxophone\, infused the project with a focused\, intoxicating liveliness\, similar to the spirit that had brought the Black Lips to life in the first place\, way back in 1999. Only this time\, the band is drawing from nearly two decades of experience and musicianship\, and the newness is tethered by familiarity: Munson is a longtime friend of the band\, and Rosow has been playing live with the Black Lips for several years now. There’s even a dash of kismet: unbeknownst to the band\, after being off the grid for some time\, Munson had just recently moved to a cabin a short distance away from Lennon’s compound\, and the first time his phone ever rang after he plugged into the wall\, Alexander was on the other end\, asking him to play. \nAll of this excitement and immersion created the perfect storm for the Black Lips’ most musically evolved album to date. “It was a really beautiful experience. We were very far from civilization\, and we were all living at the studio. We weren’t going home to our own beds every night; that was our whole world\, 100% of the time\,” says Swilley of the experience. “Making this record was the most wonderful few months of my life. It was by far my favorite time recording an album so far…It was just magic.” The Black Lips were joined by Saul Adamczewski of Fat White Family\, who helped co-produce the record with Lennon\, plus another rather magical guest: Yoko Ono. “She’s very cosmic\,” Swilley says of the celebrated artist and musician\, who makes an appearance on a few of the tracks. The final product is urgent and thoughtful\, reflecting the growth the Black Lips have experienced since bursting onto the scene (once or twice quite literally on fire)\, but it’s also true to their original blistering\, careening take on rock n’ roll: fuzzy\, dirty\, and rife with three and four part harmonies. Satan’s graffiti or god’s art? proves that while they may have grown up a bit and changed a few things around\, the Black Lips are still as creatively unhinged and exhilarating as ever. Satan’s graffiti or god’s art? is out now on Vice Records. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nBlack Lips\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWebsite: http://black-lips.com/\n\n\nFacebook: https://facebook.com/theblacklips/\n\n\nInstagram: https://instagram.com/theblacklips_/\n\n\nTwitter: https://twitter.com/TheBlackLips\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nSupport: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlastic Pinks\n\n\nWebsite: https://plasticpinks.bandcamp.com/ \n\n\nFacebook: http://facebook.com/plasticpinks/\n\n\nTwitter: https://twitter.com/PlasticPinks\n\n\nInstagram: https://instagram.com/plasticpinks\n\n\n\n  \nRock & Roll outfit from Miami\, FL. \nPlastic Pinks formed in Jan of 2013 and have kept the integrity of their energetic sound throughout the years\, even after going through some line up changes. Known for their charismatic performances\, energetic music and their commitment to their craft\, they have toured over the years and don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. They once shared the road with AJ Davila (Terror Amor / Davila 666) which helped pave the way for future tours where they promoted their various releases. Among those releases they had many breakthrough moments\, like having their 7”inch record released by the Atlanta label\, Die Slaughterhaus Records\, in which the songs “Fui” and “Kelly” gained them momentum and inspired a craving to push harder than before. Later on\, they released their digital / cassette EP\, “Livin’ On the coast”\, via Wiener Records. This particular EP propelled the band further which helped as a stepping stone towards to their later released album “Sunnyside Rabbits” (recorded/produced by AJ Davila) with Burger Records. During the Sunnyside Rabbits three month tour the band was featured on Daytrotter\, as wells as a KEXP live session\, which added more wind to their sails. \nAfter playing various high profile shows like III POINTS festival\, SXSW\, Burgermania\, Atlanta Mess-Around as well as having played with the likes of Unknown Mortal Orchestra\, Warpaint\, King Krule\, Run The Jewels\, RJD2\, Ty Segall\, Black Lips\, Shannon and The Clams\, The Spits\, Thee Oh Sees\, Hinds\, La Luz\, The Coathangers\, Wand\, Natural Child\, DIIV\, Neon Indian\, Surfer Blood\, Jacuzzi Boys\, Kim and The Created\, Jaill\, Destruction Unit\, The Garden\, Iceage\, Night Beats among the list\, you can only ask yourself; What’s next for Plastic Pinks? \nFor their fourth release they will unleash “El Animal”\, a six-song EP under the Ghost Drag Records banner. Plastic Pinks have taken their time to work on this upcoming release by exploring a broader sound and a less constrictive approach. For that they enlisted the help of Gordon Raphael (producer of “The Modern Age”\, “Is this it” and  “Room On Fire” by The Strokes) to do the EP’s mixing\, as well as their upcoming album’s\, as a way to capture a new era of Plastic Pinks. They are also working on their following album tentatively named “Don’t Forget The Mischief” with the help of their friend Robert Peters (Fuzz Baby Records) who recorded and co-produced “El Animal” to have it be released later on 2017. \n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPalomino Blond\n\n\nWebsite: http://palominoblond.com\n\n\nFacebook: http://facebook.com/palominoblond\n\n\nTwitter: https://twitter.com/palominoblond\n\n\nInstagram: http://instagram.com/palomino_blond/\n\n\n\n  \nPalomino Blond is a band from Miami\, FL who came up in the tradition of the suburban D.I.Y. all-ages community. After filling countless rooms with earlier projects\, the members came together over a shared love of classic alternative rock\, and released demos during the Summer of 2018. The demo has seen relentless support from their homegrown fanbase and regional college radio stations alike.  \nTheir demo; the single “Creature Natural” (along with its music video directed by Jon and Michael Cuartas); and frequent\, dynamic live sets in their home state of Florida have solidified Palomino Blond as “next to carry the torch” (Amanda Starling\, The Alternative) of indie rock from their home state to a larger audience.  \nThe band is currently recording their debut LP with Jonathan Nunez (guitarist of SFL’s Torche and founder of Nunez Amplification). They are slated to play some of Florida’s most popular festivals in the coming months and show no signs of slowing down. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDJ sets by Danny Kokomo of Jacuzzi Boys\n\n\nWebsite: https://jacuzziboys.com/\n\n\nFacebook: https://facebook.com/jacuzziboys/\n\n\nTwitter: https://twitter.com/JacuzziBoys\n\n\nInstagram: https://instagram.com/jacuzziboys/

Though currently based in Portland\, Oregon\, the duo grew up in Imperial\, Nebraska\, with a population just eking over 2\,000. As indie-folk-rock musicians\, Nick and Tyler Talbott\, are somewhat of an anomaly\, originating from a place where farming or ranching are the more typical career paths. Their honest songwriting is not only a breath of fresh air\, but collections of down-to-earth messages that prove to be prevalent in today’s world. \nGhost Talker is the second full-length studio album from the sibling duo. Blood harmonies and sibling rivalry are evident in their songwriting with lyrics pulling from the trials of everyday life and the questions we all face. “Everyone has ghosts\, whether they talk about them or not. We wanted to take off the mask and be honest with this record\, hoping that what we needed to say is what people needed to hear.” \nAt its core\, the album is transformative in nature\, prompting the listener to question motives\, face realities\, and go to war with their own ghosts. Spiritual apprehension and seeking answers are common themes. “Shadowboxing” is a hard look in the mirror\, realizing that what you have been fighting all along is your own fear. “It takes one good fight to turn things around.” \nLead single\, “Run No More” forces a look at the past while offering a soul shaking guitar solo that feels like a rally cry. “We tried running for a long time but it doesn’t do a heart any good. Sometimes in a wake-up call you realize what’s most important to you. “Run No More” is about when your legs give out and you gotta turn around and fight.” \nDrawing influence from John Mayer\, Kaleo and Mumford & Sons\, Ghost Talker will challenge your built-in world view and push you to embrace the unknown. No strangers to the road\, The Talbott Brothers will be touring across the US\, supporting the album release this fall 2019.

E. A. L.—Human Education Against Lies-1991)\, and has established the Temple of Hip Hop for the spiritual exploration of Hip Hop’s culture (1996). \nIt was KRS-One who first argued that “rap is something we do; Hip Hop is something we live” and introduced the “I am Hip Hop” philosophy in 1994 which Black Entertainment Television uses as the title of their Hip Hop Lifetime Achievement Award today. Without question\, KRS-One has been the loudest voice for the actual preservation and expansion of original Hip Hop worldwide. \nWhen he is not touring or lecturing\, on his so-called “down-time”\, KRS-One continues to share his unique knowledge of Hip Hop to younger audiences eager to hear the ‘teacha’ speak. Operating as a kind of “pop-up” school\, KRS-One’s Temple of Hip Hop has appeared in various cities in USA also in the UK and Europe offering the more serious student of Hip Hop an effective way to live and understand the culture of Hip Hop more deeply. \nKRS-One\, the lyrical legend\, drops his new 2017 album ‘The World Is Mind’. Hip-Hop started with DJ and that’s what DJ Heron has been doing since the young age of 12 years old. Roaming the streets of Brooklyn\, his older cousin made him carry countless of records that it was only a matter of time for Heron to start doing what he does best; being on the 1’s and 2’s. Couple of years later\, he moved to South Florida to bless locals with sounds of the underground Hip-Hop that was hitting the airwaves in New York. Since there was a lack of Hip-Hop culture in Florida\, DJ Heron would take frequent trips back to New York for the weekend just to record the hottest releases and formulate high- demand mix tapes Floridians would insist for when he would fly back down.\n\n\n \n\n\nApart from selling exclusive rare mix tapes\, he started his first production company called 3rd Eye Productions with partner DJ Klassik now known as DJ Chris. During that time\, DJ Heron starting producing vicious beats which were the ember that made him establish his own first studio called Florida Room Productions. Creating a buzz with his production\, he landed his first record deal with Atlantic at just 18 years old. Unfortunately after 7 years the studio was robbed leaving him without his tools but not his luck. Shortly after the robbery occurred\, a new door opened for DJ Heron that would change his career forever. Sony Music Records signed DJ Heron to their label giving him the opportunities to work with several artists\, make his own productions\, and go on the White Lion Tour that featured Tego Calderon\, DJ Laz\, Don Omar\, and Voltio.\n\n\n \n\n\nHaving much success throughout his career\, DJ Heron has opened up for many hip hop shows including Black Sheep\, Leaders of the New School\, Public Enemy with Queen Latifah\, Tim Dog\, and Termanology just to name a few . Furthermore\, he was also the winner of the Pro AM DJ Battle of 2011 in which he competed with several other DJs nationwide. Side by side with host/ emcee Saheed\, DJ Heron is now the main resident DJ of Re-Up radio\, an online radio show airing every week playing old school\, new school\, and independent Hip-Hop artists music worldwide to fans tuning in across the globe. It won’t be long till’ you hear DJ Heron’s skills with upcoming Re-Up Radio mix tapes soon to be released throughout the year.

SUMMARY:Cursive + Cloud Nothings + The Appleseed Cast - Miami - 11/16/19
DESCRIPTION:Heroes Live Entertainment presents Cursive\, Cloud Nothings + The Appleseed Cast @ The Ground at Club Space in Miami. \n \n\nTickets: https://cursivemiami.eventbrite.com\n\n\n\nGet Fixed Tour 2019…Join us for the return of Cursive to South FL and the Miami debut of Cloud Nothings. Support: The Appleseed Cast \n\n\n\n\n\nCursive\n\n\nWebsite: https://cursivevitriola.com\n\n\nFacebook: http://facebook.com/cursive\n\n\nTwitter: https://twitter.com/cursivetheband\n\n\nInstagram: http://instagram.com/cursivetheband\n\n\n \n\n\n\nOver the past two decades\, Cursive has become known for writing smart\, tightly woven concept albums where frontman Tim Kasher turns his unflinching gaze on specific\, oftentimes challenging themes\, and examines them with an incisively brutal honesty. 2000’s Domestica dealt with divorce; 2003’s The Ugly Organ tackled art\, sex\, and relationships; 2006’s Happy Hollow skewered organized religion; 2009’s Mama\, I’m Swollen grappled with the human condition and social morality; and 2012’s I Am Gemini explored the battle between good and evil. But the band’s remarkable eighth full-length\, Vitriola\, required a different approach — one less rigidly themed and more responsive as the band struggles with existentialism veering towards nihilism and despair; the ways in which society\, much like a writer\, creates and destroys; and an oncoming dystopia that feels eerily near at hand. \nFor the first time since Happy Hollow\, Vitriola reunites Kasher\, guitarist/singer Ted Stevens and bassist Matt Maginn with founding drummer Clint Schnase\, as well as co-producer Mike Mogis at ARC Studios in Omaha. They’re joined by Patrick Newbery on keys (who’s been a full-time member for years) and touring mainstay Megan Siebe on cello. The album runs the sonic gamut between rich\, resonant melodicism\, Hitchcockian anxiety\, and explosive catharsis — and no Cursive album would be complete without scream-along melodies and lyrics that\, upon reflection\, make for unlikely anthems. \n\n\n\n\nCloud Nothings\n\n\nWebsite: http://cloudnothings.com\n\n\nFacebook: http://facebook.com/cloudnothings\n\n\nTwitter: https://twitter.com/cloudnothings\n\n\nInstagram: http://instagram.com/cloudnothings\n\n\n \n\n\n\nCloud Nothings was founded in a Cleveland basement\, the one-man recording project of Dylan Baldi. Prolific from the start\, Baldi’s early work was rough but immediate: crudely recorded\, spring-loaded spasms of Buzzcocks-informed pop that quickly found an online following among the lo-fi-inclined. \nTheir sixth studio album\, entitled Last Building Burning\, was released on October 19\, 2018 on Carpark Records. Following its release “Under the Radar” rated the album 8/10 stating “…Cloud Nothings have never been better.” “The Line of Best Fit” 9/10 saying “Baldi and his conspirators have created something fantastic here – easily matching the scope and ambition of artists across the musical spectrum. They always seemed to be on the cusp of greatness\, and Last Building Burning is their first step over that threshold.” “Pitchfork” 7.6 and singles out the track “Leave Him Now” as “Cloud Nothings at their best: direct\, visceral\, vulnerable. It hits in the gut and rings in the head\, striking that golden ratio of ferocity and tunefulness that this band does best.” \n\n\n\n\nSupport: \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Appleseed Cast\n\n\nWebsite: http://greenkansas.wix.com/theappleseedcast\n\n\nFacebook: http://facebook.com/TheAppleseedCast\n\n\nTwitter: http://twitter.com/appleseed_cast\n\n\nInstagram: http://instagram.com/theappleseedcast\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe Appleseed Cast is an American rock band\, based in Lawrence\, Kansas\, with 20 years of recording and touring. The band was founded in the early days of emo by singer-guitarist Christopher Crisci and guitarist Aaron Pillar\, and quickly grew to fame. The Appleseed Cast has steadily evolved over the release of eight full-length albums with Crisci at the songwriting helm\, changing lineups but never breaking up\, continuing to hone the TAC sound. The band’s current lineup includes Crisci\, Ben Kimball\, Nick Fredrickson\, and Sean Bergman. \nMajor acclaim first came in the early 2000s and earned them a 9.0 from Pitchfork for their album set Low Level Owl\, Vol I and Vol II. The band has enjoyed continued high praise for their work on Two Conversations\, Peregrine\, Illumination Ritual\, and others.

The connection between the Chi brothers (hailing from Santiago\, Panama)– together with their Mexican bandmates\, the Chaurand brothers– results in an overwhelming musical presence that takes you through landscapes festive\, furious\, refreshing\, and dark. \n\n\nAt times the falsetto of Diego Chi (bassist) takes you to the underworld\, while the fuzz of Enrique Chi’s guitar anchors his spirited voice in the midst of the Chaurand brothers’ primal and folkloric percussion. An explosion of energy on the stage––does the soundtrack make the movie\, or does the movie make for the soundtrack? \nIn 2017 Art As Mentorship was created by Enrique Chi\, born out of six years of collaboration between Making Movies and local non-profits Base Academy of Music and the Mattie Rhodes Center. What began as a week-long music education camp for youth in an underserved community has grown into a six-month songwriting and mentorship program called the Rebel Song Academy. Students get to record with and learn from industry professionals\, like Grammy-winning producer Steve Berlin of Los Lobos who recorded the first class in 2018. \nThe world turned their attention to Making Movies as Rubén Blades\, Flor De Toloache\, Asdru Sierra of Ozomatli\, David Hidalgo of Los Lobos and Las Cafeteras joined forces with the band on their new album\, ameri’kana\, which releases in May 2019. The first two singles\, “No Te Calles” and “Cómo Perdonar”\, were launched along with a movement that invites artists and fans to participate on the website NoTeCalles.World\, by joining the chorus with Rubén Blades and Making Movies. The album includes “Delilah”\, a song about immigration written during a week-long writing session between Blades and Lou Reed that had never before been recorded. Saying that “Rock’n’roll is Latin music” the band dedicates the album to the beautiful inhabitants of the ameri’kana continent. \nWhen Making Movies performs live it is as though a spirit descends upon the room\, entrancing audiences with the pulse of their Afro-Latino rhythms\, psychedelic jams and rock’n’roll riffing. Armed with their ambitious and politically charged new album\, I Am Another You\, the band punches out one high-energy song after another\, with theatrics and head-banging climaxes riding atop a bed of driving percussion. Their Latin American roots are placed front and center with moments where the front-man Enrique Chi trades his electric guitar for a folkloric Panamanian mejorana\, and the Chaurand brothers hop off drums and percussion to instead supply the rhythmic pulse with a dueling zapateado huasteco\, a traditional form of dance from Veracruz\, Mexico. \nThe band’s political idea is straightforward enough that they can express it in four words: “We are all immigrants.” In supporting that cause\, a portion of all proceeds from their latest release I\nAm Another You will goes to the National Immigration Law Center. \nThe band has shared the stage with Arcade Fire\, Cold War Kids\, Los Lobos\, Ozomatli\, Tennis\, Sergio Mendoza of Calexico\, Rodrigo y Gabriela\, and Hurray for the Riff Raff. \n\nSupport:\n\n\n \n\n\nDama Vicke\n\n\nWebsite: https://dama.love\n\n\nFacebook: https://facebook.com/damavickemusic \n\n\nTwitter: https://twitter.com/damavicke \n\n\nInstagram: https://instagram.com/damavicke/ \n\n\n \n\n\nDama Vicke\, Best Songwriter at Best of Miami 2018 and winner of American Tracks Music Awards as Best Independent Artist and Best Lyrics released a 5 song debut EP titled “Point Of Inflection” a beautiful cinematic-like yet eerie and melodic\, dressed in a mixture of alternative rock fusion with hints of experimental jazzy folk accents; her lyrics narrate true story scenes from her real life events.\n\n\n\n\n\nDama has performed in recognized USA venues\, as well as internationally\, La Habana\, Cuba\, Colombia\, and Mexico City.\n\n\nHer music videos have been directed by filmmaker Carla Forte\, produced by Alexey Taran\, also\, filmmaker\, choreographer\, and professional dancer both from Bistoury Physical Theater. \n\n\n\n\n\nDama Vicke from Mexico City\, a fanatic of suspense and horror films has been one of the most active artists in the South Florida music scene since early 2000’s. She began her career collaborating with US and Mexican artists\, currently devoted to her solo EP where poetry\, visual arts\, dance\, film\, and theater form a strong essence supported by her live band.\n\n\n \n\n\nPoint Of Inflection highlights her talent as a singer-songwriter\, working with Javier Guell guitar player and song-writer\, along with producer Roger Izaguirre from Earplay Studio.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPoint Of Inflection promises to be an endearing project with a band to be savoured live\, with a theatrical yet sensual form of expression and an outstanding musical performance by every single member of her band \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nMINIMAL presents: FINDELMUNDO\n\n\nFacebook: https://facebook.com/minimalband/\n\n\nInstagram: https://instagram.com/minimalband/

SUMMARY:Nitzer Ebb - Miami 5/24/19
DESCRIPTION:Heroes Live Entertainment presents Nitzer Ebb with Liebknecht (Daniel Myer from Haujobb) & DJ Paul Klov @ The Ground at Club Space in Miami.\n\n\nTickets: http://ticketfly.com/event/1816936\n\n\n\n\n\nBritain’s Nitzer Ebb are one of the most influential acts associated with the EBM (electronic body music) scene\, as well as alternative dance in general. SUMMARY:Lee "Scratch" Perry + Subatomic Sound System - West Palm Beach - 2/15/19
DESCRIPTION:Heroes Live Entertainment presents Lee Scratch Perry + Subatomic Sound System 45th Anniversary Performance of “Blackboard Jungle Dub” + More. 1st dub album in history\, live for the 1st time! Exclusive South Florida Show @ Respectable Street in West Palm Beach. Support: Spred The Dub.\n\n\nTickets: http://ticketfly.com/event/1790306\n\n\n\nGrammy winning dub & reggae pioneer Lee “Scratch” Perry celebrates the 45th anniversary of his landmark album “Blackboard Jungle Dub”\, the world’s first dub album. Scratch\, now 82 years young\, will embark on a tour across North America performing his 1973 studio masterpiece live in its entirety for the first time\, aided by the technology of NYC’s Subatomic Sound System\, his hybrid band of new school electronics and veteran Jamaican musicians from the Black Ark era recordings. For the past 8 years\, Subatomic Sound System has been Scratch’s go to band for re-creating the Black Ark sound live on stage. They will also perform music from their album “Super Ape Returns To Conquer” ( http://bit.ly/SS033s ) which topped both reggae and electronic charts in 2018\, plus singles like “Black Ark Vampires” ( http://bit.ly/BAVss ) and classics from Perry’s work with the likes of Bob Marley\, Max Romeo\, and many more. Perry’s Blackboard Jungle album includes dub remixes of hit songs he co-wrote with Bob Marley\, “Kaya” & “Keep On Movin”\, as well as other big tunes from The Wailers and Junior Byles. Kaya turned out to be Marley’s most successful album of his career and celebrated its own anniversary with a massive festival earlier this year. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n–\n\n\nLee “Scratch” Perry\n\n\nWebsite: http://subatomicsound.com\n\n\nFacebook: http://facebook.com/perryscratch/\n\n\nTwitter: http://twitter.com/scratchlee\n\n\nInstagram: http://instagram.com/lee_scratch_perry\n\n\n \n\n\nProducer\, mixer and Grammy-winning reggae dub artist\, Lee “Scratch” Perry has been overturning tradition and confounding conventional wisdom for more than five decades. In the process\, the widely acknowledged father of dub reggae became arguably the first creatively driven “artist-producer” in modern recorded music. In 2004\, Rolling Stone Magazine ranked Perry on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.\n\n\n \n\n\nBorn in Jamaica in 1936\, Lee Perry began in the music business in the 1950’s and by the 1960’s became known for his innovative production techniques as well as his eccentric character. His first single “People Funny Boy” in 1968 was notable for its innovative use of sampling as well as a fast\, chugging beat that would soon become identifiable as “reggae”. Concurrent with his own releases with the Upsetters\, Perry produced numerous reggae artists at his Black Ark studio\, including Bob Marley and the Wailers\, The Heptones\, and Max Romeo.\n\n\n \n\n\nAfter his famed Black Ark Studio was consumed by fire\, Perry took refuge in England and the U.S.\, performing live and making records with collaborators from a wide range of musical genres\, all artists who had been inspired by his innovative work: British dub producers Adrian Sherwood and Mad Professor\, punk legends The Clash and Public Image\, rap innovators the Beastie Boys\, and in recent years the Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards\, Funkadelic’s George Clinton\, rocker Andrew W.K.\, electronic artists like The Orb\, and of course NYC bass music specialists Subatomic Sound System who back in 2007 collaborated with Dubblestandart on Scratch’s first dubstep remixes. \n\n\n \n\n\nFor over six years in the USA\, Subatomic Sound System has been Scratch’s go to band for bringing his Black Ark Studio sound live to the stage\, a unique hybrid configuration that brings together a handful of live musicians like veteran Jamaican percussionist Larry McDonald with computers and live dub mixing of classic recordings as well as brand new sounds Scratch hears from outer space. Lee “Scratch” Perry\, now into his sixth decade as a pop-music provocateur\, has few peers when it comes to fresh ideas and their implementation. He remains one of the world’s most imaginative sonic architects.\n\n\n \n\n\nWatch this playlist of Lee Scratch Perry & Subatomic Sound System starting War Ina Babylon at Coachella 2013: https://youtu.be/CvUswefcglU?list=PLrSutf-KvSF4UTRF4-_nv7g7LWaQttO8F\n\n\n \n\n\nSubatomic Sound System\n\n\nWebsite: http://subatomicsound.com\n\n\nFacebook: http://facebook.com/SubatomicSoundSystem/\n\n\nTwitter: http://twitter.com/SubatomicSound\n\n\nInstagram: http://instagram.com/subatomic\n\n\n \n\n\nSubatomic Sound System and the Subatomic Sound label\, NYC dub and bass music specialists\, sound revolutinaries\, and founders of Dub Champions festival. SUMMARY:Peter Murphy: 40 Years Of Bauhaus feat. David J - Miami - 2/6/19
DESCRIPTION:Heroes Live Entertainment presents Peter Murphy: 40 Years Of Bauhaus\, Ruby Celebration featuring David J\, Performing “In The Flat Field” in its entirety plus extended encore of Bauhaus classics @ The Ground at Club Space in Miami. Support: UK psych-rock band Desert Mountain Tribe & New Orleans performing artist Vinsantos\n\n\nTickets: http://ticketfly.com/event/1782866\n\n\n\n\nOriginally formed in England in 1978\, pioneering post-punk band Bauhaus carved out a singular musical niche combining minimalism\, art school rock and dark glam\, with a huge dose of their own experimentalism\, originality and verve. Unswervingly bleak in their approach\, they released their break-out hit “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” in 1979\, an astonishing slice of brooding imagination.\n\n\n \n\n\nThey were signed to 4AD and released their debut album In The Flat Field in 1980\, before moving on to release three further records via Beggars Banquet (Mask – 1981\, The Sky’s Gone Out – 1982 and Burning From The Inside – 1983). \n\n\n \n\n\nAlthough brief\, their career was hugely influential and resonated across the decades. The band split in the early 1980s (but reformed briefly a few times throughout the years) and band members went on to focus on other projects. Peter Murphy continues to enjoy a successful solo career\, spectacularly celebrated with the recently released 5-CD box containing his Beggars Banquet releases.\n\n\n \n\n\nThe forthcoming tour celebrates 40 years since the formation of Bauhaus – featuring two original members\, vocalist Peter Murphy and bassist David J.\n\n\n\n\n–\n\n\nPeter Murphy\nWebsite: http://petermurphy.info/\nFacebook: http://facebook.com/petermurphyinfo/\nTwitter: http://twitter.com/petermurphyinfo\nInstagram: http://instagram.com/petermurphyofficial

SUMMARY:Mineral: 25th Anniversary Tour + Tancred + Pohgoh - Miami - 1/9/19
DESCRIPTION:Heroes Live Entertainment presents Mineral: 25th Anniversary Tour with special guests Tancred & Pohgoh @ The Ground at Club Space in Miami. \n\nTickets: http://ticketfly.com/event/1682955\n\n\n\n“When Mineral broke up in 1998\, they had been together for only four years and released only two full-lengths\, yet their shaping of the indie rock landscape cannot be overstated. “ – All Music Guide \n\n\n\n–\n\n\nMineral\nWebsite: http://officialmineral.com/\nFacebook: http://facebook.com/OfficialMineralMusic\nTwitter: http://twitter.com/officialmineral\nInstagram: http://instagram.com/officialmineral\n\n\n\n  \nEndSerenading was the second\, and final album released by Mineral. It was the definitive statement by the Austin\, TX based band. So final\, in fact\, that the band members had actually gone their separate ways prior to the album’s release in 1998. \nWhat ended in 1998\, actually began four years earlier\, in Houston\, TX\, when friends Christopher Simpson (guitar/vocals)\, Jeremy Gomez (bass)\, Gabriel Wiley (drums) and Scott McCarver (guitar) formed the band Mineral. Mineral launched into touring immediately\, often alongside other indie bands like Jimmy Eat World\, The Promise Ring\, Texas is the Reason\, Knapsack\, Braid\, and The Get Up Kids\, garnering them a legion of fans from the outset. \nEventually the band relocated to Austin\, TX and a debut single\, Gloria b/w Parking Lot\, on Caulfield Records followed\, as did more touring. Via a zine editor in Colorado\, the single found it’s way to Jeff Matlow at crank! A RECORD COMPANY\, which eventually led to an album deal and the release of The Power Of Failing in 1996. \nUpon the release of the first album\, Mineral quickly emerged as one of the leaders in the burgeoning indie / emo music scene. College radio loved the record. The press gushed about the band. It was inevitable that the major labels would come calling. Interscope Records eventually won the major label beauty contest and signed the band. \nSuch were the circumstances when the band went into Big Fish Studios in San Diego\, California with Mark Trombino (Blink 182\, Jimmy Eat World) to record one final record for crank! A RECORD COMPANY. EndSerenading was the result. The songs for the record had not come easily\, nor did the recording of them. But the album was strong\, emotional and daring. It was a Mineral album. \nAnd then it was over. The perfunctory “creative differences” statement was issued. The album was released and new bands were formed. Christopher and Jeremy went on to form The Gloria Record and Gabe founded Pop Unknown. \nIn a short amount of time\, Mineral’s poignant dynamics combined with impassioned lyrics about coming of age was influencing bands everywhere\, and still inspires new bands in the indie scene today. \n2019 marks the bands 25th anniversary. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nSupport:\n\n\n\n\n  \nTancred\nWebsite: https://tancredmusic.com/\nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/tancredmusic/\nTwitter: https://twitter.com/tancredjess\nInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/tancredjess/ \nTancred is the stage name of former Now\, Now guitarist Jess Abbott. \nAs Tancred\, Abbott has released three full-length albums to date. Her first album\, titled Capes\, was released in 2011 on No Sleep Records. In 2013\, Abbott signed to Topshelf Records and released her self-titled second full-length album. In 2016\, Abbott signed to Polyvinyl Records and released her third full-length album titled Out of the Garden. On March 27\, 2018\, she premiered her new single Reviews and announced an album\, Nightstand\, to be released on June 1\, 2018 via Polyvinyl. \nOut of the Garden was recorded by OFF!’s Steven McDonald and That Dog.’s Anna Waronker\, and was praised by many outlets\, including NPR Music\, which declared: “Out of the Garden is just phenomenal… this to me feels like a breakthrough.” \nA video for Tancred’s song “Pens” was handpicked for NPR Music’s “Songs We Love” series and featured a cameo by Sadie Dupuis of Speedy Ortiz. \nTancred has toured with Foxing\, Julien Baker\, Weaves\, and Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas\, and also performed at the 2016 Riot Fest. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPohgoh\n\n\nWebsite: http://pohgoh.bandcamp.com \n\n\nFacebook: http://facebook.com/PohgohFL\n\n\nInstagram: http://instagram.com/pohgohfl\n\n\n \n\n\nTwenty-one years is a long time between albums. \n\n\n \n\n\nSince calling it quits in 1997\, Tampa\, FL’s Pohgoh has been known to break out the guitars for the occasional one-off reunion over the years. The last one reignited a missing passion and desire to write and perform music together. Susie Ulrey (vocals\, guitar)\, Matt Slate (guitar)\, Keith Ulrey (drums) and new bassistBrian Roberts (Hankshaw\, Murder Suicide Pact) spent the last couple of years hunkered down in their practice space revisiting the old material while hashing out fresh ideas. \n\n\n\n\n\nIn August 2017 the band made their way to Baltimore\, MD’s Magpie Cage Recording Studio to record their sophomore full-length with engineer/producer J. Robbins (Jawbox\, Burning Airlines). The result is Secret Club\, Pohgoh’s first full-length since 1997’s posthumous In Memory Of Bab\, consisting of songs dealing with life as a band after almost 20 years apart and Susie’s 15+ year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. \n\n\n \n\n\nDiagnosed in 2001\, Susie’s lyrics touch on the hardships and struggles of living with the disease including\, but not limited to\, a constant worry of being a burden to others (“Business Mode”)\, years of chemical and drug therapies (“Super Secret Club”) and a simple nightly fight pleading with her own legs to remain still (“Who’s The You”). The album does have its ‘light in the darkness’ moments\, too\, with songs about the direction of the reunited band (“Try Harder”) and the sheer power of positive thinking (“Bunch”)\, of which she declares “I lose battles\, but I win wars.” All of this set to a backdrop of crunchy Superchunk-y guitars\, even as they visit the more downtempo moments of reflection throughout the 11 tracks. \n\n\n \n\n\nWith a rich history within the 90’s DIY/indie/emo scene\, Pohgoh was in a small league of female-fronted bands of the era alongside peers like Rainer Maria\, Dahlia Seed & Jejune. The band’s previous catalog includes several singles\, a split 7″ with Braid\, the closing track on the Emo Diaries\, Vol. 1 and the aforementioned full-length.\n\n\nSecret Club is out now on CD/LP/Digital via New Granada Records (US)\, Barely Regal Records (UK/EU) and Waterslide Records (Japan).\n\n\n \n\n\nPRAISE FOR SECRET CLUB:\n\n\n“a dynamically playful and DIY-feeling fusion of emo\, alternative rock\, and power pop.” \n\n\n– The Fader\n\n\n \n\n\n“a fantastic piece of work that builds upon the bittersweet sonic bedrock the band initially laid out\, while lyrically exploring the ups and downs of living with one bitch of a disease.” \n\n\n– Kerrang (UK)\n\n\n \n\n\n“They were everything I wanted in a band when I was playing music back in the day.” \n\n\n– Washed Up Emo\n\n\n \n\n\n“you should check this out if you’re fan of Pohgoh’s old pals like Braid and Rainer Maria\, or newer bands that keep this sound alive like Into It Over It and Waxahatchee.” \n\n\n– BrooklynVegan\n\n\n \n\n\n“Alongside J Robbins’ typical rough-and-ready production style\, Pohgoh feel so deeply ingrained in the classic emo aesthetic while simultaneously having grown\, matured and experienced\, and they’re able to capture those feelings in a great return.” \n\n\n– The Sound Board\n\n\n \n\n\n“It’s quite a musical feat for a band to contrast gloom and disheartenment so well with hope and solidarity. Pohgoh is able to do this in such a laid-back and easy manner as if the long hiatus had never existed.” \n\n\n– Visions (Germany)

SUMMARY:Blac Rabbit **FREE SHOW** Seize The Day Tour 2018 - Miami - 11/3/18
DESCRIPTION:https://heroesliveent.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/BlacRabbit-Ellen.mp4\nHeroes Live Entertainment & Las Rosas present Blac Rabbit **Free Show** Seize The Day Tour 2018 with JAIALAI\, Moongazer & DJ Goldie Brown of Jacuzzi Boys @ Las Rosas in Miami. Early arrival strongly suggested. Space is limited. \n\nRSVP: http://ticketfly.com/event/1762696\n\n\nBorn and raised in Bed Stuy\, Brooklyn\, identical twin brothers Amiri and Rahiem Taylor do not make the type of music that their borough of origin is usually associated with.  Growing up in the mecca of hip-hop culture\, the Taylor brothers had more exposure in their house to pop\, funk and soul music from the 60’s\, 70’s and 80’s. In high school\, they taught themselves how to play guitar and write songs based off of the Beatles.  After high school they formed Blac Rabbit\, bringing in former metal and church drummer Patrick Jones\, followed by resident shredder Josh Lugo on bass (and sometimes guitar) to play their original psychedelic rock tunes. Tired of working boring grocery store jobs\, Amiri and Rah started performing Beatles covers on the NYC subway\, earning some pocket change\, slowly building a reputation around the city while also performing their original material in New York’s best venues for up and coming acts.  On December 23rd\, 2017\, the band released their debut self-titled EP\, which was also self-recorded and self-mixed. On January 26th\, 2018\, Rah and Amiri were filmed performing Beatles songs on the train by New York Nico\, the “Unofficial talent scout of New York City\,” who posted the video to his 120K+ followers on Instagram. One of the videos went viral generating over 25M streams\, leading to numerous TV and Radio appearances\, including The Ellen Degeneres Show. The band also recorded a cover of “Michelle” by The Beatles for a Gucci ad campaign featuring Harry Styles.  Meanwhile\, Blac Rabbit’s fan base has increased significantly while they have been touring globally and recording their debut full-length album\, set for release early 2019. \n\n\nBlac Rabbit\nWebsite: http://blacrabbit.com/\nFacebook: http://facebook.com/blacrabbitband/\nTwitter: http://twitter.com/blacrabbitband\nInstagram: http://instagram.com/blacrabbitband/ \nSupport: \n\nJAIALAI (Miami Psych Rock // Garage Rock // Indie Rock)\nWebsite: https://jaialaiofficial.bandcamp.com\nFacebook: http://facebook.com/jaialaiofficial/\nInstagram: http://instagram.com/jaialaiofficial/ \nMoongazer (South Florida Neo-Psychedelia Space Rock)\nWebsite: https://moongazer.band\nFacebook: http://facebook.com/moongazur/\nTwitter: https://twitter.com/Moongazur\nInstagram: https://instagram.com/moongazur/ \nDJ Goldie Brown of Jacuzzi Boys

One\, Brōōt McCoy (West Palm Beach) & Elohim The Anomaly (Miami). \n\nTickets: http://ticketfly.com/event/1634687\n\n\n\nKRS-One\, an acronym for “Knowledge Reigning Supreme”\, has been called the “conscience of Hip Hop” (Rolling Stone)\, “the greatest live emcee ever” (The Source)\, the “spokesperson for Hip Hop” (Wall Street Journal)\, “master teacher” (Zulu Nation) and the “son of Hip Hop” (Kool DJ Herc). \nAt the 2008 BET Awards\, KRS-One was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award for all his work and effort towards the Stop the Violence Movement as well as the overall pioneering of hip hop music and culture. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n–\n\n\nKRS-One: The World Is Mind Tour\nTHE WORLD IS MIND available at www.KRS-ONE.com\n\n\nWebsite: krs-one.com/\n\n\nTwitter: @IAmKRSOne\n\n\nInstagram: @teacha_krsone\n\n\n \n\n\n\nAppearing on the rap scene in 1986 as Boogie Down Productions releasing his first hit single “South Bronx” with his late DJ Scott La Rock\, KRS “the one” made it clear that Hip Hop was going to have to take itself a lot more seriously than simply being a music genre. \nWith 20 published albums to his credit and his numerous appearances with other artists\, KRS-One is believed to have written the most rhymes in Hip Hop’s history. \nIn the 1990s as “hip-hop” grew more and more commercialized and corporate\, it was KRS-One that openly rejected such cultural exploitation and materialism grounding Hip Hop in its original principles of peace\, love\, unity and safely having fun. \nTeaching everything from self-creation to stopping violence; from vegetarianism to transcendental meditation\, from the establishment of Hip Hop Appreciation Week (every third week in May)\, to establishing Hip Hop as an international culture at the United Nations (2001)\, KRS-One has single-handedly held the history and original arts of Hip Hop together now for over two decades. \nIn addition to lecturing at over 500 universities in the United States and publishing three ground-breaking books; “The Science of Rap” (1995)\, “Ruminations” (2003)\, and the Gospel of Hip Hop” (2009)\, KRS-One has also established the Stop The Violence Movement (1989)\, influenced the creation of the “West-Coast All-Stars’ anti-gang anthem “We’re All In The Same Gang” (1990)\, warned the Hip Hop community against giving up their humanity for technological advancement (H. E. KRS-One brings that Boom Bap back\, with tracks like; ‘Raw BEAT’ and the graffiti tribute ‘Out for Fame’. In addition KRS-One celebrates the South African clique langue on ‘Keep It Clicking’ and shares ancient wisdom on the title track ‘The World Is Mind’. This is another banger from the Hip Hop legend. \nAwards: \n2004\, VH1 Hip Hop Honors\n2007\, I am Hip Hop\, BET Hip Hop Awards\n2007\, Lifetime Achievement\, BET Hip Hop Awards\n2009\, Living Legend Award\, Urban Music Awards \n\n\n\n\nSupport: \n\nOn the decks: DJ S.U.N.
