MOON DESTROYS is the brainchild of Guitarist Juan Montoya (ex-Torche, MonstrO, Killer be Killed) and Drummer Evan Diprima (Gold Pyramid, ex-Royal Thunder). The band released their debut EP, ‘Maiden Voyage’ in 2020 via Brutal Panda Records, then took a brief hiatus. In 2024, Vocalist/Guitarist Charlie Suárez (MonstrO, Sunday Driver) joined the fold. Suárez previously graced the stage with Montoya in the Miami/Atlanta band, MonstrO.

Bringing heavy rock and psychedelia elements, the band is a powerhouse of seasoned musicians that draw influences from The Cure, Black Sabbath, and Pink Floyd. In the summer of 2024, the band self-recorded and produced their debut full-length record, expected to be released sometime in 2025.

Rock n’ roll concocted by Harold Trucco (Guitar/Vox), Brian Tate (Bass/Vox), and Brian Lange (Drums/Percussion/Vox). From the city of Miami comes a power trio ready to tear the place down but with a smile, ya know? It’s a matter of science…

Black Lips + Jacuzzi Boys – Orlando – 3/31/24

Heroes Live Entertainment presents Black Lips + Jacuzzi Boys + DJ Smilin’ Dan on Sunday, March 31, 2024 @ The Abbey in Orlando. One of the Peach State’s wildest bands returns to Central Florida with Miami garage rockers Jacuzzi Boys.

7:00PM (Doors) | 8:00PM (Show) | 18+

Playing garage-flavored punk rock with a Southern accent, a messed-up and bluesy undertow, and the gleefully destructive impact of a 15-year-old with a bag of firecrackers, the Black Lips are a combo who, after their debut in 1999, soon developed a reputation as one of the Peach State’s wildest bands.

Garage punk saviors the Black Lips transform from austere country pioneers into a set of Lynchian surrealists, hellbent on recalibrating the history of 21st Century rock ‘n’ roll. Their new album ‘Apocalypse Love’  cryogenically mutates all recognized musical bases; it spins yarns about vintage Soviet synths, Benzedrine stupors, coup de’ tats, stolen valor, certified destruction and the creative use of quicksand, all set against a black setting sun.

The year, 2007. The Boys, Jacuzzi. Hatched inside a vulture’s nest, Jacuzzi Boys emerged from deep within the Florida wilds, three radioactive chicks cawing for their piece of electric rock pie. Since then, they’ve released four full-length LPs, multiple singles, and most recently, two EPs Dipped and Glue via their own imprint MAG MAG. And it’s with this bag of tunes in tow, that they’ve toured the world, and Europe and even the United States, with some of the most infamous names in rock like King Khan and the Shrines, Man or Astroman?, Vampire Weekend, the Raconteurs and their adopted uncle Iggy Pop. So the next time they’re in your town, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
