This is the only Florida show. Los Angeles dark-wave/electronic act THE BLACK QUEEN has announced a spring tour to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their cult-classic debut album “Fever Daydream”. Featuring singer Greg Puciato (solo artist, Better Lovers, ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan) and multi-instrumentalist and acclaimed technician Steve Ryan (Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle), the band will perform the record in full during a series of intimate shows in May and June, the first THE BLACK QUEEN has played since 2019.

A kind of power synth pop trio, the Black Queen began in casual fashion and developed into a full-blown band treated by its members as much more than an extracurricular project. In 2011, Greg Puciato, Dillinger Escape Plan’s vocalist, and Steven Alexander, a seasoned tech (DEP, Nine Inch Nails, Ke$ha ), began working on material with one another that deviated significantly from the former’s main band. Later in the year, Joshua Eustis (NIN, Puscifer) was added to the fold, after Puciato crossed paths with the multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter at a Puscifer gig. Puciato’s interests had long involved electronic music — his primary band had covered songs by Massive Attack, Depeche Mode, and even Aphex Twin — and he admired Eustis’ output with Telefon Tel Aviv. The two also shared a love for R&B, a genre detectable throughout Eustis’ recorded history. Within a couple years, Puciato, Alexander, and Eustis were deeply involved in the Black Queen, living with one another in Los Angeles, and supporting each other through bleak personal matters. In 2015, they debuted the Black Queen with the ballad “The End Where We Start” and quickly followed it with the relatively uptempo “Ice to Never,” a pair of singles that were closer in construction to Telefon Tel Aviv’s Immolate Yourself than anything by Dillinger Escape Plan. Additionally, these songs featured some of Puciato’s most melodic and restrained vocal performances without sacrificing any feeling. Fever Daydream, their debut album, was released in January 2016. They went on to promote the record with an international tour later that year before Puciato returned to Dillinger to record their final album, Dissociation, which saw release in October 2016. DEP spent almost the entirety of 2017 touring in support of the record before taking a break and Puciato returned the Black Queen fold in 2018 to record their sophomore effort — Infinite Games — which saw release in September 2018. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi

Long cited as a hugely influential act, having inspired the likes of (The) Verve, Oasis, Interpol, The Killers, Editors and White Lies, Chameleons are renowned for their transformative catalogue and intense, emotionally charged live performances, creating a legacy that extends far beyond their four studio albums to date. Their widely acclaimed debut, ‘Script of the Bridge’ (1983) has been cited by many as a masterpiece way ahead of its time, and was followed by ‘What Does Anything Mean? Basically!’ (1984), ‘Strange Times’ (1986) and ‘Why Call It Anything?’ (2001).

Their unique sound quickly won them an audience with its mix of melancholic yet energetic and powerful tunes, hypnotic, ethereal riffs and a potent, timeless lyrical style. They are considered one of the most influential guitar bands of the ’80s and ’90s, contributing substantially to the post-punk, shoegaze and indie scenes.

2024 saw the release of two EPs that kicked off a new chapter for the band. ‘Where Are You?’ consisted of three new songs, while ‘Tomorrow Remember Yesterday’ featured five re-recorded archive tracks. ‘Arctic Moon’ sees them propelling forward musically while retaining the essence that originally made them iconic.

Identical twins Daniel and Danny Chavis originally hail from Raleigh/ Chapel Hill, North Carolina programmer Hayato Nakao, originally from Japan, hooked up with the Chavis brothers while living in New York. Along with Drummer Dale Miller, Micah Gaugh Keyboardist/Saxophone, Bassist Alex Cox and guitarist Martin Newman make up the current line up.

Lifting their band’s name from a Ray Bradbury science fiction story, their own life stories have also been quite fantastic. After signing to Capitol Records in 1989, The Veldt were soon in the studio with dream-gaze guru Robin Guthrie working on their initial recordings, playing American concert halls with Cocteau Twins and The Jesus and Mary Chain, and recording ‘Marigolds’ with Lincoln Fong (Moose). Not long after, they would record their classic ‘Afrodisiac’ (1994), produced by Ray Shulman (The Sundays, Bjork, Sugarcubes) and released via Mercury Records.

They have also collaborated with TV On The Radio, Mos Def and Lady Miss Kier (Deee-Lite), and shared the stage with The Pixies, Throwing Muses, Echo & The Bunnymen, Cocteau Twins, Manic Street Preachers, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Oasis, Chuck D, Living Colour, and Schooly D.

This past year has also been pretty monumental, with highlights including sold-out tours with Phantogram and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, a European tour, two separate Canadian tours, appearance at some of North America’s and Europe’s hottest psych fests, a spotlight feature on Time Warner Cable TV and being named as east coast support for Modern English. Performing since they were children, the Chavis brothers’ musical roots lead back to the church and southern juke-joints, and listening to music that included gospel, Motown and Pink Floyd. The Veldt formed in the late 80’s in Raleigh amongst the royalty of the legendary North Carolina music scene, including bands such as Superchunk, Archers of Loaf, The Connells, Dillon Fence, The dBs, Squirrel Nut Zippers, and Ryan Adams. Pitchfork recently included their album ‘Afrodisiac’ in the top 50 shoegaze albums ever released. Their sound also inspired future generations of alternative artists, including TV On the Radio.

This latest EP sees the band returning to their roots, albeit with plenty of distortion, programmed beats and pedal effects. They’ve also involved A.R.Kane, who produced ‘And It’s You’. Borrowing the title ‘The Shocking Fuzz of Your Electric Fur’ from an E.E. Cummings poem, this EP includes five tracks with a raging sound influenced equally by the emotional soul of Marvin Gaye, free jazz warriors Sun Ra and Pharaoh Sanders, various Drake hip-hop tracks, long-term musical kin Cocteau Twins, and their own fertile electric imagination.

SHE PAST AWAY is a dark wave / post-punk duo, consisting of Volkan Caner (vocal, guitars and songwriting) and Doruk Ozturkcan (drums, synths and production). Experimenting old/new aesthetic of synth music into their core guitar stuff, She Past Away forged a sound, an attitude, and a sensibility, conveyed through a minimalist poetry sung in Turkish, which sweeps the audience through a dense, continual epic trip in both their recordings and live performances.

She Past Away released their critically-acclaimed first EP “Kasvetli Kutlama”, via Remoov in April 2009. Following the digital release of the debut album “Belirdi Gece” in February 2012, the band was signed to Fabrika Records in 2013 and shortly thereafter they released “Belirdi Gece” in LP format. Including “Rituel”, “Ruh” as well as “Kasvetli Kutlama”, the album was listed as one of the best albums of the decade 2010-2019 by post-punk.com.

With the release of their follow-up album “Narin Yalnızlık” in May 2015, the duo established themselves as one of the most influential and successful genre-defining acts of dark wave music and scored numerous crowd-puller performances all around the world. In December 2018, the band signed to Metropolis Records and re-issued both albums in North America. 

The band graced the audience with a beautifully dark and driving new album “Disko Anksiyete” via Metropolis Records and Fabrika Records in May 2019.

In May 2020, the band celebrated their tenth anniversary with the remix album “X”, including remixes from Boy Harsher, The Soft Moon, Clan of Xymox, Front 242, Lebanon Hanover and many more. 

In October 2020, the first ever live studio recording of the band was released with the title “Part Time Punks Session”.

SHE PAST AWAY is a driving, mesmerizing outburst of sentimental anxiety through the nihilistic mind-frame. It is both personal and broad, like a wandering mind brave enough to question taboo and existence.

ASTARI NITE is an alternative rock band that has made a significant mark in the dark wave music scene. Originating from Miami, Fl, their music blends elements of alternative, post-punk and new wave, resulting in a distinctive dark glam sound.

El Paso, Texas based duo Lesser Care was founded in 2019 by Andres Chavez and Zane Pacillas. Releasing their first couple of efforts ‘True Burden’ and ‘Palm/Acquired Taste’ they aimed to make their sonic stamp on the post-punk genre, but it was with the full-length debut ‘Underneath, Beside Me’ where they truly held the subject of dreamy post-punk with an unrecognizable face. Building off the block of anticipation and maturation they released their second full-length titled ‘HEEL TURN’ in spring of 2024; an album that displayed elevation of differences and new possibilities, not only through the group’s signature gloomy sound, but through the world they were birthed into. Heroes Live Entertainment has joined community partners The Rhythm Foundation and Poplife to present Peter Hook & The Light with special guest DJ Arthur Baker on Saturday, June 14, 2025 @ Miami Beach Bandshell. Peter Hook & The Light will be performing ‘Get Ready’ live and in full plus a selection of Joy Division and New Order’s Greatest Hits.

As the legendary bassist of both bands, Peter Hook was instrumental in shaping the post-punk and new wave movements, co-founding Joy Division in the late ’70s and later transitioning into New Order after the tragic loss of Ian Curtis. With Joy Division, Hook helped craft the brooding, atmospheric sound that defined a generation, with classics like Love Will Tear Us Apart and Disorder. In the ’80s, New Order fused post-punk with electronic dance music, producing era-defining hits like Blue Monday and Bizarre Love Triangle.

Now, with The Light, Hook keeps this legacy alive, performing these groundbreaking songs with the raw energy and passion that made them timeless.

Arthur Baker is an American record producer and DJ best known for his work with hip hop artists like Afrika Bambaataa and Planet Patrol, as well as British group New Order. He is also known for remixing the Jill Jones song “Mia Bocca” on the 12″ single, taken from her self-titled debut album Jill Jones (1987), released on Prince’s Paisley Park Records, as well as remixing the Pet Shop Boys song, “In the Night”. His remix of the song was used as the main theme for the BBC TV programme The Clothes Show between 1986 and 1994. He also remixed the “Massive Jungle Mix” for Tina Turner’s UL top 40 single “Whatever You Want” (co-written by himself, Taylor Dayne and Fred Zarr). Pink Turns Blue is an influential post punk band from Berlin, Germany.

After their worldwide success with their album ‘Tainted’ and their often-sold-out club concerts in America and Europe, the post-punk legends from Berlin present a new studio album. The new album and the tour are titled “BLACK SWAN”, the term for an unexpected event, which in retrospect is justified as if one could have prepared for it.

With their last album and accompanying tour, Mic Jogwer (vocals, guitar), Luca Sammuri (bass) and Paul Richter (drums) have cleared pretty much everything you could wish for as a band. Album of the Year at Byte FM, best of 2021 at Post Punk Com, singles at number 1 in the German Alternative Charts as well as the Indie Disco Top 40, excellent reviews in the worldwide music press and very well attended, if not sold-out club concerts from Los Angeles to Yerevan.

Obsidian is a Gothic/ Post-Punk band from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. Obsidian was originally formed as a creative outlet for the various members to deal with their traumatic experiences and existential epiphanies. The group was originally formed in 2018. The band has evolved into the current four-piece version consisting of Missy Mortis (Guitars, Vocals, Primary songwriter), Kathy D (Synths and Keyboards), Ryan Rivas (Bass Guitars), and Danny Drums (Drums and Percussion). The group’s style has been described as “post-punk,” “goth,” and “death rock” and combines a fierce love of rock music with darker electronic and esoteric elements. Obsidian currently has 3 EP releases: 2018’s four-track EP “A Swamp,” which was followed by the 2019 EP “Living Dead,” and 2020’s “Vultures.” Finally released in 2024 was the band’s first full-length album, “19 Dead,” on Bat-Cave Productions – Available on all major streaming platforms. Violent Vickie is a Dark SynthRiot artist and DJ, originally from Los Angeles and now based in West Palm Beach, FL. Vickie has toured with Hanin Elias of Atari Teenage Riot and shared the stage with Pastel Ghost, Trans X, Missing Persons,  Assemblage 23, and Them Are Us Too.  Violent Vickie recently played Absolution Fest where she shared the stage with Traitrs, Vision Video, and Creux Lies.

Vickie has been featured in Post Punk, EDM Joy, Medium, and Curve Magazine.  Vickie’s tracks have been selected for Fresh on the Net (UK) and she recently released a DJ mix for Rinse France. Vickie has toured the US, Europe, Mexico and Canada and played Occupy Oakland, Insted Fest, Shoutback Fest, Gay Prides & Ladyfests.

Violent Vickie’s music has been released by Crunch Pod (LA), Emerald & Doreen Recordings (Berlin), Riot Grrrl Berlin, and LoveCraft Bar (PDX). Her track “The Wolf“ was featured in a National Organization for Women film. She was interviewed for the documentary “GRRRL”, part of the museum exhibit “Alien She”. Her LP “Monster Alley” was voted best album by KALX and her tracks have been remixed by 30+ artists.

Vickie’s sophomore LP Division was released in September 2020 on Crunch Pod, a remix album for her song “Under the Gun” was released in February 2021 on Emerald & Doreen Recordings, and she released Division Remixes LP in 2022 featuring remixes by Fragrance, Kontravoid, Dimension 23, and Maduro.

L.U.S.T. (Lucid Ultra Seduction Technique) is an emerging electronic music duo from Miami, Florida. The duo consists of Roxy, mezzo-soprano known for her powerful and emotive vocal delivery. She is a self produced music artist for Indigovox since 2002 and has played alongside artists such as Fischerspooner, Shiny Toy Guns, Joy Electric and The Start.

Armando Doval is a music engineer/producer and runs Electric Halo Recordings Music Studio based out of Miami, FL. He is well recognized for his dedication to the electronic music scene. He has been in several bands in South Florida and has played alongside My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult and The Genitorturers.

Austin is known as the music capital of the world — and Urban Heat is one of its greatest exports. The band, formed only five years ago as the brainchild of singer/multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Horstmann, has quickly become known for their fiery live shows and infectious darkwave anthems that harken back to the ‘80s with a modern sensibility. Powered by the magnetic Horstmann’s melodic baritone vocals & the pummeling rhythm section of Kevin Naquin and Paxel Foley, UH has won over fans show by show.

Appearances at major California festivals like Cruel World and Darker Waves saw Urban Heat play to their biggest audiences, with their set pointed as one of the best of the day. At home, Urban Heat has long been the talk of SXSW & graced the stage of the Austin City Limits Festival.

Now, with The Tower, we see the band at its absolute peak. Songs like the arena-ready “Seven Safe Places” and the intricately steady “Take it to Your Grave” show the band’s sonic versatility. The latter, which best exemplifies the majority of the record, is about feelings of unworthiness and fears of self-sabotage. Introspectiveness dots Horstmann’s lyrics, driving home their power and relatability.

With a headlining show at Los Angeles’ famed El Rey Theater under their belt, a North American tour, & Fall European tour with Molchat Doma, Urban Heat is ready to show the world what anyone who has seen them already knows: they’re a band that is going to dominate the airwaves for years to come.
