Sidewalks and Skeletons is the solo-project of UK artist Jake Lee, who grew up in Bradford UK playing in many different bands as a deathcore guitarist, as well as gravitating towards creating dark electronic music starting in 2006 and making S&S his main solo project by 2011.

Jake created the name “Sidewalks and Skeletons” as a metaphor for the things that remain after death. “The earth you walked, and your bones: They are all that are left behind”.

Recently featured in the Devolver Digital video game “RUINER” – and movies such as “King Knight”, “M.F.A” and more – S&S has also worked with & played shows with bands such as HEALTH, Brothel, Crosses †††, CASHFORGOLD and many others.

S&S has headline toured all across the USA, EUROPE, and the UK, and has many more upcoming tour dates. His current USA headline Tour has had multiple fully sold out dates, and continues to grow.

Sidewalks and Skeletons’ latest album “EXORCISM” dropped worldwide on 2/2/22. The main single from this album was , which currently has over 7.6 million streams.

In 2023, and started their new shoegaze band , who debuted their first song “” in May, to critical acclaim. They are currently working on a full length album.

Matte Blvck, a trio formed by Alex Gonzales, Daniel Corrales, and Bidi Cobra, is known for their unique blend of Darkwave and Industrial music. They recently released their highly anticipated second album, “Vows.” The album’s standout single, “BTTR,” is a collaboration with the legendary Clan of Xymox, one of the pioneering bands in the Darkwave and Post Punk genre. This remarkable partnership brings together elements of dark euphoria, evocative nostalgia, and immersive soundscapes, creating an intense and mesmerizing auditory experience.

The hauntingly beautiful duet between Ronny Moorings and Alex Gonzales introduces a dreamlike, serene quality that contrasts with the driving force of the EBM bass lines, pulsating mechanical drumbeats, and intricate cinematic arrangements. “BTTR” not only pays homage to the classic Darkwave sound but also infuses it with a modern twist, perfectly capturing the essence of the genre’s evolution over the past thirty years.

The infectious chorus hook “Make Me Better” draws its inspiration and is rooted in Dependent Personality Disorder. The lyrics delve into the experience of individuals who possess an overwhelming need to be taken care of and depend on others for their fulfillment and happiness. The line “Talk to me, as all I want is to feel” poignantly reflects the struggle of those who may inadvertently drain the vitality of others in their pursuit of contentment, leading to a cycle of perpetual yearning for the happiness that eludes them.

Ronny Moorings, the lead vocalist, songwriter, and the longest-standing member of Clan of Xymox, has been an integral part of the band’s journey. Initially releasing their albums through 4AD and later with Polygram, the band has now found a home with Metropolis Records. Over the years, Clan of Xymox has experienced periods of both mainstream success and obscurity, and now, the resurgence of darkwave music has taken the world by storm. Although Ronny has never officially embraced the darkwave label, there are rumors that the renowned John Peel, of Radio 1 fame, coined the term during their “Peel Sessions” in the early 1980s.

The genesis of the song “BTTR” can be traced back to 2019 when it was initially considered forinclusion in Matte Blvck’s album “I’m Waving, Not Drowning.” However, it underwent extensivereworking and was deemed not yet ready for release. The initial production of the song tookplace at Matte Blvck’s studio in San Diego. Later, it underwent re-recording with live instrumentsat Secret Hand Studios in Los Angeles, which is owned by Jeff Friedl, a renowned drummerassociated with Devo, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer. The song was engineered by Matt McJunkins, known for his work with A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, and Poppy. The mixing process was handled by Aaron Short, a Grammy-nominated mixing engineer with credits including Broods, Benee, So Below, Madison Beer, and Israel Medina, a long-term collaborator of Matte Blvck.Matte Blvck expressed, “We believed that this song needed to encapsulate the essence of our live performances.’BTTR’ has been our closing piece at concerts since our inception, alwayseliciting an enthusiastic response from the audience. We entrusted the production to Matt McJunkins, someone who truly understands live performance, and Aaron Short, who has the expertise to further develop our sound.”

Matte Blvck’s second album,”Vows,” showcases the band’s evolving musical direction and setsthe stage for their future endeavors. The album boasts intricate production and a wealth ofmelodic content, resulting in a captivating blend of complexity and danceability. It is evident thatthe band is driven to expand their sonic boundaries while remaining true to their original sound. With nine tracks,”Vows” delves into a diverse array of dark electronic music genres, including breakbeats, industrial, darkwave, cinematic dark pop, alternative, electro, synth wave, andtechno. Heroes Live Entertainment has joined community partners The Rhythm Foundation and Poplife to present Peter Hook & The Light with special guest DJ Arthur Baker on Saturday, June 14, 2025 @ Miami Beach Bandshell. Peter Hook & The Light will be performing ‘Get Ready’ live and in full plus a selection of Joy Division and New Order’s Greatest Hits.

As the legendary bassist of both bands, Peter Hook was instrumental in shaping the post-punk and new wave movements, co-founding Joy Division in the late ’70s and later transitioning into New Order after the tragic loss of Ian Curtis. With Joy Division, Hook helped craft the brooding, atmospheric sound that defined a generation, with classics like Love Will Tear Us Apart and Disorder. In the ’80s, New Order fused post-punk with electronic dance music, producing era-defining hits like Blue Monday and Bizarre Love Triangle.

Now, with The Light, Hook keeps this legacy alive, performing these groundbreaking songs with the raw energy and passion that made them timeless.

Vision Video is a post-punk goth rock band from Athens, Georgia that injects modern malaise into classic sounds of the late 70’s and 80’s. The band pays homage to classics like the Chameleons and The Cure, while also bringing a refreshing modern element to the genre.

Thematically their music explores the effects of trauma on the human psyche and finding stability and agency in an insane world. Having served in Afghanistan with the army and as a firefighter in the civilian world, lead singer and guitarist Dusty Gannon is no stranger to the darker proclivities of humanity and death itself. “I wanted to write music that helped people remember that it’s okay to not be okay, but that also doesn’t shy away from taking a stern look at the darker aspects of our flawed human existence.” says Gannon.

The band’s first two records were met with much critical praise, such as that from Pitchfork stating they created a “dreamy tune tailor-made for the sort of wallflower who sprints to the dancefloor the instant the DJ drops “Age of Consent” or “Primary” at Goth Night”. Their debut LP “Inked in Red” and second LP “Haunted Hours”, were recorded and mixed by Tom Ashton of The March Violets at his Sub Von Studios in Athens, Georgia.

ULTRA SUNN is a contemporary EBM/Coldwave/New Beat band from Brussels, Belgium, formed in late 2019 by frontman and multi-instrumentalist Sam Huge and keyboardist/producer Gaelle Souflet. In 2023, they were joined on stage by keyboardist and percussionist Alexis Andrigo.

ULTRA SUNN expresses a desire for modernity through its themes, fresh approach to sounds and collaborations (Kontravoid, Kris Baha, Curses, Sarin) while being the heirs of the famous Sound Of Belgium and classical EBM. ULTRA SUNN regularly played alongside Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, DAF or A Split Second.

In 2020 with the release of their hit “Keep Your Eyes Peeled,” the duo gained widespread recognition, performing concerts all around the world, from Brussels to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Calgary, Sao Paulo, Mexico, Bogota, Berlin, London, and many more.

The band already released 3 EPs called ‘Night is Mine’, ‘Body Electric’ and ‘Kill Your Idols’, all borrowing from their activities in classical arts and fashion shows, their New Beat and EBM inspirations and their desire to create dancing and luminous hymns about self improvement, gender equality, fight against anxiety. In 2023, ULTRA SUNN signed a worldwide, multi-album deal with Canadian-based label Artoffact Records then embarked on a tour in Latin America, (Mexico, Medellin, Bogota, Lima, Santiago, and Sao Paulo).

The duo annonces their first full LP for April 2024 as well as two USA tours for Spring and Fall 2024. The first tour will include the Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas then Los Angeles, the band will also play up the west coast to end in Vancouver, Canada. The second tour will start from New York, go down the east coast to Florida then pass through Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee among other places, and end in Chicago.

ULTRA SUNN is already rescheduled across Europe, and will stop at the Orangerie, Botanique in Brussels, in their home town to celebrate the release of ‘US’, their long-awaited first full album.

Miss FD is an underground dark electronic music artist, singer, songwriter, producer, and performer.

Her distinctive musical style blends darkwave, cyberpunk, industrial, and dark synthpop influences, complemented by her signature dynamic vocals which range from ethereal to empowering and edgy.

With a discography spanning multiple albums and collaborations, Miss FD’s most recent releases underscore her commitment to the dark electronic music scene. Her 2021 three-song EP “Adore”, followed by her single “Your Core”, showcase futuristic and cyberpunk elements. 2022 witnessed the release of her exploration of Gobekli Tepe in her three-song dark pop EP, “As Above, So Below”, followed by her cyberpunk single “Menticide” released the same year. Since their formation in their native Holland, Clan of Xymox has been constantly changing, always challenging and often quite breathtaking. Formed in 80’s Amsterdam and signed to leading English independent label 4AD, home at one time to the Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, and Pixies among others. The 4AD period saw the release of the band’s self-titled debut album and the second album Medusa. Those two records were full of tumbling electro beats, throbbing sequencers and moody vocals.

Clan of Xymox became one of the pioneers of the dark and moody electronic music that later became known as darkwave. Later they got signed to a subsidiary of Polygram USA. Their releases as solely Xymox were in a more synthpop/dance music vein. This period was known as their most commercial one, having dance chart hits in the USA.

In 1997, Ronny Moorings made the decision to restart Clan of Xymox and return to his musical roots in the Gothic electro scene. Since then, the band signed to USA based Metropolis Records, releasing a series of critically acclaimed albums.

The band has released 15 studio albums, 2 DVD’s, a remix and live album, “Best Of” and even a covers album. In 2017, “Days Of Black“ was released worldwide. It remains faithful to its roots and new-wave basis, but progressively evolved towards more melodic and harmonious songs.

Clan of Xymox have done what many similar bands fail consistently to do. They’ve upped their game, shaken things around, plunged back into the darkness and come up with something sounding fresh, original, and exciting. To the great enthusiasm of their fans, the band still tours with great energy worldwide on a constant basis. Current line-up consists of: Ronny Moorings, Mojca, Mario, Sean and Daniel.

Curse Mackey is a prolific industrial – darkwave performer and visual artist, a prominent member of industrial supergroup Pigface, as well as My Life with The Thrill Kill Kult. Founder of the notorious industrial-punk act Evil Mothers, he began his career as a teenager DJing and producing underground events in San Antonio & Austin, Texas. Curse Mackey’s new album, Immoral Emporium, due out on 09/09/22 is a riveting ten-song look forward at dark electronic music. Immoral Emporium pushes the boundaries of genre with a vast dynamic range, from a tortured whisper to a triumphant howl.

The first single, “Lacerations” is a dancefloor stomper with hypnotic vocals, a hard-hitting chorus with wailing synths and bin-shaking beats.

The album moves into poppy, upbeat club territory with the earworm “Dead Fingers Talk,” guaranteed to get everyone moving at your city’s goth/industrial club night. The buildups are big, such as in “Omens and Monuments”, with monstrous synths that bring Immoral Emporium to a goosebump-inducing, cathartic end leaving the listener looking forward to the future.

The album was produced by Curse Mackey and Chase Dobson (Rufus Du Sol), who also co-produced Instant Exorcism. Collaborators include synth wizard Justin McGrath (Nine Inch Nails, Kanga, The Black Queen), and MVTANT an exciting new industrial act from San Antonio, Texas. The album was mastered by Ken Marshall at HiWatt Labs, (Skinny Puppy, Riki, Front Line Assembly).

Austin, Texas’ electronic/alternative rock band, SINE (pronounced like ‘sign’, written in all caps), is the brainchild of drummer/multi-instrumentalist, Rona Rougeheart.

Rona was born in New York, the youngest daughter of a Taiwanese mother and Irish father. She grew up as a military child, living all over the U.S. and in Okinawa, Japan. Her father was a musician who taught her how to play keys and guitar. It wasn’t until later, she decided to take up drums on her own. Early in her musical career, she played drums for multiple bands in Austin, TX, catching the eye of Gretsch Drums who, in 2012, gave her her first endorsement. Gibraltar Hardware also added her to their roster.

Since SINE’s inception in 2016, the band has headlined shows around Texas and has shared stages with David J and Peter Murphy’s band (Bauhaus 40 Year Celebration), She Wants Revenge, 3Teeth, Curse Mackey, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Kanga, Twin Tribes, Wingtips and most recently on December 2, 2021 in Dallas, TX with legendary EBM artists, Nitzer Ebb.

TIMELINE

SINE’s debut album, INSOMNIÆ, was released in January 11, 2019 and was recorded in Austin, TX with Charles Godfrey/Scary American (also of Sonic Ranch). Godfrey, in his two decade plus audio career, has been engineer/producer on over 75 recordings, including the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’, It’s Blitz! and Mosquito, and The Black Angels Indigo Meadow. SINE also worked with Charles on the Injected release that came out on November 1, 2019, as well as the new forthcoming EP trilogy entitled, Mantis, to be released in 2022.

In April, 2019, she landed a sole opening slot with her band SINE for Peter Murphy in Orlando, FL for the 40th Anniversary of Bauhaus Ruby Tour with David J. The night seemed ill-fated when Peter was unable to perform, but was revitalized when she joined David J, Curse Mackey, Mark Gemini-Thwaite and Marc Slutsky for an impromptu performance of Bauhaus tunes.

In 2020, unable to tour due to the shutdowns, she began producing the television series, Villains Wear Black Presents, which ran for 2 seasons on television and streaming worldwide.

In mid 2021, SINE was signed with the Austin, TX based electronic industrial record label, eMERGENCY heARTS (eH) in a perfect pairing for both the artist and the label.

The initial SINE release with eMERGENCY heARTS is entitled, Desire, Denial and Paramania, which as released on October 7, 2021. It’s an 11 track collection featuring select songs from SINE’s albums, INSOMNIÆ and Injected, recorded between the years 2016-2020 and includes collaborations with Curse Mackey (Pigface, Evil Mothers, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult), producer Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, 3Teeth, Slayer) and legendary industrial vocalist Chris Connelly (Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Pigface) with remixes by Jack Dangers (Meat Beat Manifesto) and more.

2021 also saw SINE collaborations with remixes from Mark Pistel (Consolidated!), Adrian Sherwood (Tackhead) and Black Sugar Transmission (Andee Blacksugar – KMFDM, Blondie). The new EP trilogy, Mantis, will be released on eMERGENCY heARTS, along with more collaborations in 2022.

She continues to write new music and work on future collaborations in music and television.
