EARLY SHOW! 7:00PM (Doors) | 8:00PM (Show) | 21+

This is the debut Miami show for the Goth/Post-Punk/Darkwave band from DC formed by Chris Moore (Repulsion, Coke Bust, The Rememberables), and Josephine Olivia (Blacksage).

Hailing from Washington DC, Chris Moore (Repulsion, Coke Bust, The Rememberables), and Josephine Olivia (Blacksage,) formed VOSH in 2018. Bringing elements of goth, post-punk, and darkwave together in their debut 2-song demo “Superstition”. In the short period of time being a band they have already played shows with The Psychedelic Furs, Boy Harsher, She Past Away, Gost, SRSQ, Unmaker, and many others.

One of “5 ARTISTS YOU NEED TO KNOW: FEBRUARY 2023” – Revolver

“A very important aspect of the band’s identity for us is intensity,” says vocalist Josephine Olivia. “We wanted the live performance to be an experience, not just plugging in and playing, but being more intentional and making a real connection to the audience. I think each of us have been in bands that sort of just show up, play the gig and leave. Which is fine and sometimes that’s all you need. This feels much more involved, there are more theatrics and it feels very special to us.”

Dead On A Sunday “Dead In Florida Tour 2024” + HADEE. – Miami Beach – 1/31/24

Heroes Live Entertainment presents Dead On A Sunday “Dead In Florida Tour 2024” with special guest: HADEE. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 @ Kill Your Idol in Miami Beach.

Tickets: https://deadonasunday.eventbrite.com

8:00PM (Doors) | 9:00PM (Show) | 21+

This is the debut Florida show for the darkwave/emo band from Denver, CO.

Ross Ryan created Dead on a Sunday because he had always wanted to sing in a rock band. But he didn’t realize that his voice sounds a lot like that of Bob Belcher, the lead character on the popular cartoon show Bob’s Burgers. The people who caught a Dead on a Sunday TikTok noticed, though, and Ryan’s music went viral, with even the supervising director of Bob’s Burgers eventually weighing in.

“I started messing around with the TikTok thing, like, summer 2021. And you know, TikTok either goes fast or it goes slow. So it was going really slow, and I kind of backed off it a bit, mostly out of frustration,” Ryan recalls. “And then this last summer, I decided to kind of go hard at it again, because you know, it’s the number-one entertainment app, and it’s the only place that’s really breaking artists.”

He began making videos in which he re-created a popular song in the dark-wave genre, which is also the styling of his band. In one, he combined Mr. Kitty’s viral tune “After Dark” with the lyrics from Blink-182’s “Dammit,” and then uploaded the band’s performance to TikTok in October. It “was growing slowly on Spotify, maybe 100 plays a day,” he says. “Then this guy on TikTok comments on the video and says, ‘It sounds like Bob Belcher.’ I was like, ‘Is that supposed to be a good thing?’ I wasn’t mad; it was funny. I didn’t have a video to post that day, so I just took a lot of clips of us playing our last show and I tagged that comment and wrote ‘Bob-core’ over the video. And within just, like, seven seconds…it had hundreds of views. I went about my day, and when I went on TikTok later, it was at 3,000 views, and every time I refreshed, people were commenting. … I’ve never had anything that translated into fans and streams of the music just overnight.”

The video now has more than 745,000 views, and a follow-up video of Ryan dressed as Bob Belcher lip-syncing the viral audio has racked up more than 100,000. As a result, Dead on a Sunday’s debut album, Strange Days, which was also released in October, has been gaining more listens and saves day after day.

Meanwhile, the song that went viral, which Ryan titled “Dammit (After Dark),” has more than 135,000 plays on Spotify. “Every listener comes back on average about five times a day and listens,” Ryan says. “It’s boosted and grown the fan base. All my accounts on all platforms have grown.” – Westword

Hailing from the sunshine state, HADEE. is an Alt-Rock artist who has burned his way into the minds of all listeners who come across him. Taking influence from 80s post-punk & new-wave, emo/goth rock, and a touch of classic film noir, HADEE. finishes off this stylistic blend with a balanced mix of modernity. Laced with driving basslines and contagious melodies that bleed nostalgia, HADEE. cuts through the noise, delivering everything you want and didn’t know you needed.

With only one year down, he has already amassed a dedicated audience and interest that extends beyond his home base of South Florida, as well as shared the stage with such established acts like Mayday Parade and BOYS LIKE GIRLS, all while still being an independent artist. He was also selected to perform at the 2023 Richmond International Film Festival (RIFF) after winning a competition for the music video of his second single, “KEROSENE”.

As evolution takes its course, it is clear that HADEE. is not willing to be defined by one sound. The gemini nature of his style further intrigues the listener, keeping them unsure of which song they enjoy more, and even more uncertain of what may follow next.

“Every scene has a soundtrack”.

HADEE.’s latest single, “POISON IVY” proves the alt-rocker has no plans of stopping now.

As well-known for their bizarrely teased haircuts as their hit single “I Ran (So Far Away),” A Flock of Seagulls was one of the MTV video rotation staples of the new wave era. Growing out of the synth-heavy and ruthlessly stylish new Romantic Movement, the group benefitted considerably from MTV’s heavy rotation of the “I Ran” video in the summer of 1982. Mike Score’s outrageous hairstyle is forever embedded in pop culture.

Hits include:
“TELECOMMUNICATION”
“I RAN (SO FAR AWAY)”
“WISHING (IF I HAD A PHOTOGRAPH OF YOU)”
“SPACE AGE LOVE SONG”

“THE MORE YOU LIVE, THE MORE YOU LOVE”
“MODERN LOVE IS AUTOMATIC”

and more!

Vision Video **FREE SHOW**- Miami Beach – 3/3/23

This is the debut Miami show for the Goth-pop band from Athens, Georgia. Special guests: Secret Shame (NC), Obsidian, and DJ Rippin Kittin. There will be plenty of dancing in the dark all night long.

As an active paramedic, firefighter, and veteran of the war in Afghanistan, Vision Video lead Dusty Gannon has seen more horror in real life than in the classic movies he draws inspiration from. When not saving lives on the front-line, Dusty dons torn fishnets, combat boots and makeup to play post-punk that recalls the genre’s heyday when the lines between goth and pop blurred to create some of the underground’s most beloved acts such as The Cure, The Smiths and Joy Division. But hidden within Vision Video’s catchy hooks and dancy beats is a nostalgic yet desperate message exploring the darker undertones of our existence.

“Brilliant weavings of the sound that has made Joy Division and The Cure so loved” – The Big Takeover

“Vision Video are blessed with a singer whose voice soars instead of sulks. And when he blends his with that of keyboardist Emily Fredock, the group exhibits a radiance that distinguishes them from fellow black-lipstick aficionados.” – Pitchfork

Nitzer Ebb – West Palm Beach – 11/19/21

Heroes Live Entertainment presents Nitzer Ebb with special guests Alpha Quadrant and DJ Paul Klov @ Respectable Street in West Palm Beach.

Tickets: https://nitzerebb.eventbrite.com

Join in the chant! The British pioneers of EBM return to South Florida!

Britain’s Nitzer Ebb are one of the most influential acts associated with the EBM (electronic body music) scene, as well as alternative dance in general. Since the early ’80s, the group, led by enthusiastic frontman Douglas McCarthy, have produced an aggressive, visceral brand of electronic music influenced by German industrial and new wave groups like Die Krupps and D.A.F. The group remains best known for the classic “Join in the Chant,” a single taken from 1987’s That Total Age that became a staple of dance clubs from Ibiza to Detroit. Subsequent albums such as 1991’s Ebbhead displayed more of an interest in pop songcraft, and found some success on alternative radio. Nitzer Ebb broke up following 1995’s Big Hit, which featured a greater presence of non-electronic instruments, but they reunited over a decade later, as their influence on newer generations of industrial and hard-edged techno artists continued to grow. After Industrial Complex appeared in 2010, Nitzer Ebb went on hiatus again, but they re-formed with all of their founding members in 2018 for a tour and retrospective box set.

Formed in Chelmsford, Essex, in 1982 by vocalist Douglas McCarthy, drummer Bon Harris, and keyboard player David Gooday, the group began experimenting with synthesizers and drum pads, fusing the bandmembers’ affinity for dark goth and punk rock with the emerging technology. A demo cassette titled Basic Pain Procedure appeared in 1983. After several popular shows around London during 1984, PWL producer Phil Harding began working with Nitzer Ebb and recorded their first single, “Isn’t It Funny How Your Body Works,” which appeared on the band’s Power of Voice Communications label in 1985. Three more singles followed during 1985-1986 before Nitzer Ebb signed to Mute in late 1986; the first Mute recordings were the singles “Murderous” and “Let Your Body Learn” in early 1987, just before the release of their debut album, That Total Age. After the single “Join in the Chant” was remixed by producer Flood (Nick Cave, Erasure), it became one of the crucial tracks in the growing alternative/Balearic dance scene, played out alongside Chicago house, Detroit techno, and Northern soul.

After the release of That Total Age, Nitzer Ebb toured Europe with Depeche Mode, and the latter band’s pop sensibilities appeared to inspire them. By the time of their second album, Belief, Gooday had disappeared (to be replaced by Julian Beeston) and Flood had taken over the producer’s role from Harding, nudging Nitzer Ebb closer to the dancefloor and shearing away the militaristic bent of much of their earlier recordings. Singles like “Hearts and Minds,” “Shame,” and “Lightning Man” were loaded with the cold aggression of earlier recordings, working well on dancefloors as well as college radio stations; the 1990 single “Fun to Be Had” even reached number two on the dance charts. The following year’s Ebbhead further consolidated their position with alternative audiences, with at least two well-known singles, “I Give to You” and “Godhead.”

Nitzer Ebb virtually disappeared from active music-making for the next four years, finally reappearing in 1995 with their fifth (and least industrial-sounding) album, Big Hit. The group became inactive, but McCarthy became a regular collaborator with Alan Wilder’s Recoil project, and formed the duo Fixmer/McCarthy with techno producer Terence Fixmer. The compilation Body of Work 1984-1997 appeared in 2006 and was immediately followed by set of new remixes titled Body Rework. After a reunion tour to support the releases proved successful, the group began working on new material. In January of 2010 they released Industrial Complex, their first studio album in 15 years and their first for the Alpha Matrix label. Nitzer Ebb then toured with Die Krupps, issuing the joint EP Join in the Rhythm of Machines in 2011. The following year, Basic Pain Procedure was reissued by Pylon Records.

Box Set [1982-2010] was released in 2018, containing double-LP reissues of Nitzer Ebb’s five albums for Mute, as well as empty slots for their other two full-lengths, which remained in print. Additionally, the band’s original lineup began performing for the first time since 1987.
