Following a string of encounters too strange to be coincidence, Robbie Kingsley, Franco Solari, Dylan McCue, Andre Escobar, and Zach Levy came together to form The Hails. Despite first playing in an insular Miami high school music scene, the band officially formed at the University of Florida in Gainesville, turning the tattered carpeting and beer bottle-lined shelves of their shitty college house into a distinct, refined sound that is now synonymous with their name.

After graduation, the group made the pilgrimage back to their home of Miami, the city that directly influenced the sound of their early shimmering singles “Younger” and “Stay”, debut EP He Seems Upset (2020), and the subsequent Alive in Strange Ways (2021). Recent highlights of the road include holding court at festivals including WonderStruck, Okeechobee, and Playground, interspersed between sold-out shows across the state of Florida. The first half of 2022 also saw The Hails join WILLIS for West and East Coast dates.

Firing the starting pistol of their next chapter, The Hails released “Exonerate” in October 2022, ushering in a flood of editorial praise from Billboard, Consequence, EARMILK, and many others excited by the direction the Miami five-piece is headed in. The same weekend as the single’s release, The Hails took it to the stage of Miami’s infamous III Points Festival, winning the crowd’s energy over with a track that had only been out for 24 hours.

In 2023 The Hails plan to release singles building towards a forthcoming debut album, and will continue to build their touring history starting with a southeastern run of shows with The Happy Fits and The Beaches.

The 5-piece are now headlining tours and drawing sellout crowds in major US markets, backed by their surging fanbase. The REMYZ is a modern alternative rock band infused with funk, blues, and R&B. With a lineup comprising of Avery Davis, Oscar Familia, Justin Goldbot, Christian Martinez, and Christian Rolon, they are regarded as the most exciting band in Miami. Led by frontman Davis the compelling five-piece has built a formidable reputation playing at shows, concerts, festivals, house parties, malls, and bars all over the city. The bandmates have known each other since middle school but never became close until junior and senior years of high school when they started skipping jazz class together. Leaving during class the friends would go off to the auditorium where they would play on their own. Davis, a keyboardist, and singer, Martinez, a bassist, Goldbot a drummer, Rolon a guitarist, and Familia guitarist and backup singer. All members started out playing different instruments than the ones they currently play when they first started learning.

What the REMYZ have done is take the best elements of funk, RnB, and rock and make it their own creating a unique sound that fits their mold. After releasing 2 EPs, the REMYZ has gained a strong following in Miami. With building momentum, the REMYZ have brought their dynamic presence on tour from Florida to New York performing at multiple venues. Their most prominent performance was at the Miami Heat’s halftime show. The band has achieved other accolades during their stint as a musical group together. The band was awarded “2017 Band Of The Year” by the SSA Songwriters Showcase Association. Declared winners of the Hard Rock Rising Stars “2017 Battle Of The Bands” Miami. And champions of the Miami Heat & JBL Battle Of The Bands in 2019.

The disparate qualities of each musician’s styles are all what makes them great but where they shine as an act is onstage. The members’ talents individually and collectively come together when they perform live. Success for the band is very much a case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. Seeing the REMYZ live and witnessing their chemistry is truly a spectacle. Their phenomenal cohesion is due to a large degree to the group having known each other and playing together for years since they were in high school. Having such trust in one another allows the band to flourish as a whole and to blend their talents seamlessly, sparking an outlet of creative experimentation all but unprecedented in the scene of Miami.

Here Come the Mummies is an eight-piece funk-rock band of 5000 year-old Egyptian Mummies with a one-track mind. Their “Terrifying Funk from Beyond the Grave” is sure to get you into them (and possibly vice versa).

Since their discovery, HCTM has been direct support for P-Funk, Al Green, Mavis Staples, KC and the Sunshine Band, and Cheap Trick; rocked Super Bowl Village; become a regular on The Bob and Tom Show; appeared on That’s My Jam with Jimmy Fallon; played massive festivals like Summer Fest, Summer Camp, Common Ground, Musikfest, and Suwannee Hulaween; and sold tickets by the thousands across large swaths of North America. Maybe that’s why the ladies (and some dudes) can’t stop losing their minds over these mayhem-inducing mavens of mirth.

Some say they were cursed after deflowering a great Pharaoh’s daughter. Others claim they are reincarnated Grammy-Winning studio musicians. Regardless, HCTM’s mysterious personas, cunning song-craft, and unrelenting live show will bend your brain, and melt your face. Get ready! Here Come The Mummies.

  • HCTM “‘KILLED’ it… Not only did they pack their stage – they were the hit of the night when they jumped on stage with moe. in front of 20,000.” – Jay Goldberg, Summer Camp Music Festival

The last time drummer Brendan Canty and bassist Joe Lally were in a band together, they were the rhythmic architects for Fugazi, an organization whose decade and a half of disciplined progressivism provided a necessary bridge between the zenith of late-punk expression and everything alternative in rock that followed. Anthony Pirog is a jazz and experimental guitarist based in Washington, D.C. The trio’s debut on Dischord Records was recorded at Canty’s practice space throughout 2017, live and mostly without overdubs. It’s a snapshot of a band dedicated to the live ideal, where structure gives birth to improvisation.

Nouvelle Vague – Miami Beach – 3/29/17

Heroes Live Entertainment presents Nouvelle Vague with special guest Liset Alea @ North Beach Bandshell in Miami Beach.

Bossa Nova = Nouvelle Vague = New Wave.

This transliteration was the starting point for Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux’s unique project, which, by appropriating the punk and post-punk cannon and running it through the Bossa Nova filter, reinvented the cover band genre, revealing new and brilliant talents along the way: Camille, Phoebe Killdeer (whose Fade Out Lines was remixed by The Avener,) Élodie Frégé, Mélanie Pain, and, soon, Liset Alea.

The gambit paid off, with sales of over one million records over four albums released between 2004 and 2010, and world tours that included stops at venues such as London’s Royal Albert Hall, L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl and Paris’ Olympia.

Since 2011, Nouvelle Vague had stopped recording, focusing on an innovative live show created in collaboration with the mythical Jean-Charles de Castelbajac (Ceremony and Dawn Of Innocence,) and branching out into different projects: Olivier’s Uncovered Queen of the Stone Age, and Marc’s Bristol, along with his Kwaidan label.

The time seems right to write a new chapter in the Nouvelle Vague saga: with a new album “I Could Be Happy” and live show, the band and its coterie of female vocalists continue their time travels with a renewed alegria.

Liset Alea has lived a thousand lives. Born in Havana to an impulsive country man who was working in Fidel Castro’s kitchen and from whom he often stole the occasional piece of meat for the family and a literature major mother who had published some of her erotic poetry. At an early age, she already mastered the art of escape, the immigrant’s task of learning how to leave behind one’s home, family, friends, language, comforts and survive in an unfamiliar place.

At 15 she began to study the voice with America Crespo, a Cuban opera legend and Musical Theater at Miami’s New World School of the Arts. At 19 she moves to New York, a waitress by night, she enters the New School Jazz Conservatory for Vocal Jazz and buys her first guitar. She becomes the front woman of the electronic band Etro Anime, co-writes their 1st album which is released through V2. After witnessing the fall of the World Trade Center, she leaves the United States to Amsterdam with the band. They embark upon a tour supporting Kosheen and later Llorca where she meets Alexkid with whom she writes and records ‘Come with Me’ on his “Mint” album. “Come with Me” becomes an instant electro club and radio hit and she joins Alexkid’s band for a 46 dates European tour.
Seduced by the European way of life, she settles in London for a while, travels to Milan, Athens, Madrid, Berlin for songwriting sessions, many of these collaborations entered the charts in their respective country.

While not on the road she starts working on what will become “Heart- Headed”, her new album co-produced alongside by Marc Collin. Months in the making, “Heart-Headed” displays a balance of craft and emotion and exhibits the refined craftsmanship of her writing.

Her voice, reminiscent at times of Jennifer Charles (Elysian Fields), Marianne Faithful or even a Cuban Lana del Rey, is set against string and flute arrangements, vintage synthesizers and urgent guitars.

The first single “Hunter & Tiger”, heralds “Heart-Headed” as an album that comes straight from the heart but remains grounded in the early rock’n’roll era echoing Wanda Jackson’s Hard Headed woman.
‘Alea Jacta Est’, The die is cast; the future is hers on “Heart-Headed”.
