Immortal Technique is a Peruvian born, Harlem raised activist and rapper best known for his complex lyricism, unfeigned humanitarianism, and highly intellectual nature. While incarcerated in his youth, he picked up the pen to unknowingly pioneer a new generation of artists and listeners alike; during his parole in the late nineties, he took battle rap by storm and dominated the world of Underground Hip Hop by being one of the first rappers in a freshly post-9/11 world to amplify the dark history of the United States in an era where most of Hip Hop’s own were waving around the countries flag in support of the war. Instead, he turned it upside down and used his message to take Hip Hop back to its politically charged roots, and as always, highly criticized those in power in his first album, Revolutionary Vol. 1, which went on to become one of the most pirated independent projects to date.

Best known for backing his raps with action, his humanitarianism reaches far and wide – from mentoring youth in prison, to building an orphanage in Afghanistan funded by his third album, The 3rd World, to helping to rebuild Haiti after 2010’s devastating earthquake, and handing out water and supplies at the border in Mexico, his life’s work is truly with the people. During the height of the pandemic in 2020, he started his own charity, The Rebel Army Runs to take care of the elders in his community and many others around the US. He’s worked directly with members of the original Black Panther Party, Political Prisoner and Activist Mumia Abu-Jamal, Dr. Cornel West, Harry Belafonte with the Sankofa Organization, Native American Activist Russell Means, has spoken at prestigious universities such as Harvard, Columbia, NYU and more, and has made appearances on CNN, Fox, RT, The Joe Rogan Experience, The Desus & Mero Show, MTV, Vice and BET to name a few.

Immortal Technique is currently working on his highly-anticipated fifth studio album, “The Middle Passage,” which delves into the untold chapters of slavery, global totalitarianism, terrorism, and corprate greed while also making room to discuss the global mental health crisis, with the main message that slavery isn’t just the past of humanity, it exists and thrives in present day, and now more than ever, we’re in danger repeating the past.

BURNING WITCHES, founded in 2015, are not just one of the hottest exports from Switzerland. Well no, the Swiss girls are one of the most interesting newcomers in Old School Heavy Metal in the past years… worldwide! The band already bewitched the scene press with their first single ‘Burning Witches’ (2016) and achieved the title “Demo of the month” in German Metal Hammer and Rock Hard. For sure, the powerful Heavy Metal, which also includes influences from Power and Speed as well as traditional Metal, thrills with a great songwriting from band founder Romana and vocalist Seraina and catches listeners with the punchy vocals from the singer, who is often compared with legendary Rob Halford (JUDAS PRIEST).

It’s not surprising that so much talent led to a spectacular self-titled debut album that was released in 2017, and the Swiss band didn’t only receive the attention of the traditional Heavy Metal audience but also from one of the scene heavy weights, Nuclear Blast Records, who quickly signed the band.

Back with their sixth studio album, Burning Witches released “Inquisition” in 2025 on Napalm Records.

HELLWITCH arose from the depths of HELL in October 1984. Formed by guitarist Patrick Ranieri and drummer/vocalist, Harry Tiyler. The project expanded into a full band set up in February of 1985 with the introduction of current PRECIPICE drummer Dave Silverthrash (Silverstein), replacing Tiyler, and Andy Adcock on bass/guitar. HELLWITCH shared the stage with such heavies as CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, G.B.H., CORONER, DARK ANGEL, KREATOR, DEICIDE, DEATH, MORBID ANGEL, ATHEIST, AGNOSTIC FRONT, D.R.I., ANTHRAX, NUCLEAR ASSAULT and many others.

October of 1989 brought about a contract with Wild Rags Rec. for the debut album ‘Syzygial Miscreancy’, recorded at the renown Morrisound Studios with veteran Thrash producer Scott Burns. In August of 1991 HELLWITCH entered Morrisound Studios once again to cut the three track EP ‘Terraasymmetry’ for Lethal Records.

2009 saw the release of their long awaited sophomore album ‘Omnipotent Convocation’. With the existing line up from 2005’s ‘Epitome of Disgrace’ promo. The second full length CD, ‘Omnipotent Convocation’ , came out in August 2009 on Xtreem Music. This album marked the second coming of HELLWITCH.

The release of the 30th Anniversary, 10-LP (!) box set on Germany’s IRON BONEHEAD Records, was another milestone for the band and has been selling briskly! Currently, the NEW HELLWITCH album, ANNIHILATIONAL INTERCENTION on Listenable Records, released on June 20, 2023 has been well received by fans and critics alike garnering no less than an 8/10 based on 40+ reviews! This new  aural expedition features 9 songs that create an incomprehensible meteoric maelstrom. In November of 2023 Jason Flippo joined the band as bass player bringing a blasphemous blast of murderous mayhem to our ranks. In our 41st year (2025) it is our time to kill the guilty, punish the innocent, and keep the blood pouring over the masses.

FAETHOM is a Blackened Heavy Metal band from South Florida known for delivering horror/sci-fi concept albums, blending elements of Black, Death, Thrash, Heavy Metal, and 70’s prog-rock since 2008. Their sound began developing in 1998 with Mariela Muerte and David Diacrono hailing from Cochabamba, Bolivia, while proudly adding elements of their culture into the music. The band released their third full-length concept album, Chaosmorphogoria, in October of 2023. They are working on their fourth album to be released in 2026.

British dance-rock quintet EMF formed in Cinderford, England in October 1989. All five original members were veterans of the local music scene before founding EMF, whose name supposedly stood for “Epsom Mad Funkers” (although it was widely speculated that the initials instead represented “Ecstasy Mother Fuckers”). Within two months of formation, the group played its first gig; after unearthing a Casio sampler and sequencer in a local thrift shop, a light techno element was added to their rock-oriented sound.

Their debut album, SCHUBERT DIP, was released in May 1991. It was certified platinum (over a million copies sold) in the US in September 1991. It had reached a peak chart position of #3 in the UK and #12 in the US, as well as finishing the year at #57 overall. By the end of 1991, their infectious debut single “Unbelievable” had conquered the charts on both sides of the Atlantic, hitting #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #3 in the UK. The single was certified gold (over 500,000 copies sold) in the US in May 1991. The song was in such heavy rotation for most of the year in America, that it finished as the #6 single overall for the year.

Further hit singles that succeeded “Unbelievable” included “I Believe,” “Children” and “Lies.”

In 1992, EMF returned with the Unexplained EP and the much darker full-length effort STIGMA; STIGMA peaked at #19 on the UK charts, and the band toured extensively to promote it. It produced hit singles and EMF live set favourites, “They’re Here” and “It’s You.”

The band released their final full-length album of new material in 1995 with CHA CHA CHA. After a successful European tour, they teamed up with comics Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer on a cover of the Monkees’ “I’m a Believer,” which reached number 2 on the UK charts.

EMF reunited in the summer of 2001 and released a Greatest Hits CD that coincided with a mini European festival and UK tour. The Greatest Hits CD, called THE BEST OF EMF: EPSOM MAD FUNKERS, featured 2 discs: the first had a collection of singles and fan favorite album tracks, along with 2 brand new tracks: “Incredible” and “Let’s Go.” The second disc had popular remixes.

The band were primed to write new material and tour more extensively but the sudden passing of bassist Zac Foley on January 2, 2002 shocked the band into silence. The remaining 4 original members spent several years focusing their time on personal projects and their families.

EMF reunited in 2007 and have been steadily doing festivals and live shows in the years since. In 2020, the band released a career-spanning vinyl box set and spent most of 2020 and 2021 celebrating 30 years of EMF.

The band surprised fans by telling them that profits from the recent merchandise sold was being used to record a new album, Go Go Sapiens was released in 2022. It was the first album of all new material since 1995 and received both fan and critical acclaim.

2024 has seen the band embark on 12 night sell out UK tour, release another brand new Studio album, The Chaos and the Beauty and announce their first USA shows in over 25 years…

Flight by Nothing was formed outside of Dallas in 2016 by Conner (vocals), Huey (keys), Pacco (lead guitar), Sam (drums), and Porfii (bass). After relocating to Austin, TX in 2021, the band dove fully into pursuing their career together. Sharing a home helped them grow both as individuals and as musicians. ‘Arctic Moon’ is the first full-length album by Chameleons since 2001, marking the return of one of the most influential bands of the 80’s and 90’s.

Long cited as a hugely influential act, having inspired the likes of (The) Verve, Oasis, Interpol, The Killers, Editors and White Lies, Chameleons are renowned for their transformative catalogue and intense, emotionally charged live performances, creating a legacy that extends far beyond their four studio albums to date. Their widely acclaimed debut, ‘Script of the Bridge’ (1983) has been cited by many as a masterpiece way ahead of its time, and was followed by ‘What Does Anything Mean? Basically!’ (1984), ‘Strange Times’ (1986) and ‘Why Call It Anything?’ (2001).

Their unique sound quickly won them an audience with its mix of melancholic yet energetic and powerful tunes, hypnotic, ethereal riffs and a potent, timeless lyrical style. They are considered one of the most influential guitar bands of the ’80s and ’90s, contributing substantially to the post-punk, shoegaze and indie scenes.

2024 saw the release of two EPs that kicked off a new chapter for the band. ‘Where Are You?’ consisted of three new songs, while ‘Tomorrow Remember Yesterday’ featured five re-recorded archive tracks. ‘Arctic Moon’ sees them propelling forward musically while retaining the essence that originally made them iconic.

Identical twins Daniel and Danny Chavis originally hail from Raleigh/ Chapel Hill, North Carolina programmer Hayato Nakao, originally from Japan, hooked up with the Chavis brothers while living in New York. Along with Drummer Dale Miller, Micah Gaugh Keyboardist/Saxophone, Bassist Alex Cox and guitarist Martin Newman make up the current line up.

Lifting their band’s name from a Ray Bradbury science fiction story, their own life stories have also been quite fantastic. After signing to Capitol Records in 1989, The Veldt were soon in the studio with dream-gaze guru Robin Guthrie working on their initial recordings, playing American concert halls with Cocteau Twins and The Jesus and Mary Chain, and recording ‘Marigolds’ with Lincoln Fong (Moose). Not long after, they would record their classic ‘Afrodisiac’ (1994), produced by Ray Shulman (The Sundays, Bjork, Sugarcubes) and released via Mercury Records.

They have also collaborated with TV On The Radio, Mos Def and Lady Miss Kier (Deee-Lite), and shared the stage with The Pixies, Throwing Muses, Echo & The Bunnymen, Cocteau Twins, Manic Street Preachers, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Oasis, Chuck D, Living Colour, and Schooly D.

This past year has also been pretty monumental, with highlights including sold-out tours with Phantogram and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, a European tour, two separate Canadian tours, appearance at some of North America’s and Europe’s hottest psych fests, a spotlight feature on Time Warner Cable TV and being named as east coast support for Modern English. Performing since they were children, the Chavis brothers’ musical roots lead back to the church and southern juke-joints, and listening to music that included gospel, Motown and Pink Floyd. The Veldt formed in the late 80’s in Raleigh amongst the royalty of the legendary North Carolina music scene, including bands such as Superchunk, Archers of Loaf, The Connells, Dillon Fence, The dBs, Squirrel Nut Zippers, and Ryan Adams. Pitchfork recently included their album ‘Afrodisiac’ in the top 50 shoegaze albums ever released. Their sound also inspired future generations of alternative artists, including TV On the Radio.

This latest EP sees the band returning to their roots, albeit with plenty of distortion, programmed beats and pedal effects. They’ve also involved A.R.Kane, who produced ‘And It’s You’. Borrowing the title ‘The Shocking Fuzz of Your Electric Fur’ from an E.E. Cummings poem, this EP includes five tracks with a raging sound influenced equally by the emotional soul of Marvin Gaye, free jazz warriors Sun Ra and Pharaoh Sanders, various Drake hip-hop tracks, long-term musical kin Cocteau Twins, and their own fertile electric imagination.

El Paso, Texas based duo Lesser Care was founded in 2019 by Andres Chavez and Zane Pacillas. Releasing their first couple of efforts ‘True Burden’ and ‘Palm/Acquired Taste’ they aimed to make their sonic stamp on the post-punk genre, but it was with the full-length debut ‘Underneath, Beside Me’ where they truly held the subject of dreamy post-punk with an unrecognizable face. Building off the block of anticipation and maturation they released their second full-length titled ‘HEEL TURN’ in spring of 2024; an album that displayed elevation of differences and new possibilities, not only through the group’s signature gloomy sound, but through the world they were birthed into. Matte Blvck, a trio formed by Alex Gonzales, Daniel Corrales, and Bidi Cobra, is known for their unique blend of Darkwave and Industrial music. They recently released their highly anticipated second album, “Vows.” The album’s standout single, “BTTR,” is a collaboration with the legendary Clan of Xymox, one of the pioneering bands in the Darkwave and Post Punk genre. This remarkable partnership brings together elements of dark euphoria, evocative nostalgia, and immersive soundscapes, creating an intense and mesmerizing auditory experience.

The hauntingly beautiful duet between Ronny Moorings and Alex Gonzales introduces a dreamlike, serene quality that contrasts with the driving force of the EBM bass lines, pulsating mechanical drumbeats, and intricate cinematic arrangements. “BTTR” not only pays homage to the classic Darkwave sound but also infuses it with a modern twist, perfectly capturing the essence of the genre’s evolution over the past thirty years.

The infectious chorus hook “Make Me Better” draws its inspiration and is rooted in Dependent Personality Disorder. The lyrics delve into the experience of individuals who possess an overwhelming need to be taken care of and depend on others for their fulfillment and happiness. The line “Talk to me, as all I want is to feel” poignantly reflects the struggle of those who may inadvertently drain the vitality of others in their pursuit of contentment, leading to a cycle of perpetual yearning for the happiness that eludes them.

Ronny Moorings, the lead vocalist, songwriter, and the longest-standing member of Clan of Xymox, has been an integral part of the band’s journey. Initially releasing their albums through 4AD and later with Polygram, the band has now found a home with Metropolis Records. Over the years, Clan of Xymox has experienced periods of both mainstream success and obscurity, and now, the resurgence of darkwave music has taken the world by storm. Although Ronny has never officially embraced the darkwave label, there are rumors that the renowned John Peel, of Radio 1 fame, coined the term during their “Peel Sessions” in the early 1980s.

The genesis of the song “BTTR” can be traced back to 2019 when it was initially considered forinclusion in Matte Blvck’s album “I’m Waving, Not Drowning.” However, it underwent extensivereworking and was deemed not yet ready for release. The initial production of the song tookplace at Matte Blvck’s studio in San Diego. Later, it underwent re-recording with live instrumentsat Secret Hand Studios in Los Angeles, which is owned by Jeff Friedl, a renowned drummerassociated with Devo, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer. The song was engineered by Matt McJunkins, known for his work with A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, and Poppy. The mixing process was handled by Aaron Short, a Grammy-nominated mixing engineer with credits including Broods, Benee, So Below, Madison Beer, and Israel Medina, a long-term collaborator of Matte Blvck.Matte Blvck expressed, “We believed that this song needed to encapsulate the essence of our live performances.’BTTR’ has been our closing piece at concerts since our inception, alwayseliciting an enthusiastic response from the audience. We entrusted the production to Matt McJunkins, someone who truly understands live performance, and Aaron Short, who has the expertise to further develop our sound.”

Matte Blvck’s second album,”Vows,” showcases the band’s evolving musical direction and setsthe stage for their future endeavors. The album boasts intricate production and a wealth ofmelodic content, resulting in a captivating blend of complexity and danceability. Armando Doval is a music engineer/producer and runs Electric Halo Recordings Music Studio based out of Miami, FL. He is well recognized for his dedication to the electronic music scene. Crowbar is an American sludge metal band formed in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1990. The band is fronted by vocalist/guitarist Kirk Windstein, Crowbar’s sole constant member. Infusing a slow, brooding doom metal sound with the aggression of hardcore punk, Crowbar, along with other bands in the New Orleans heavy metal scene, pioneered a style known as sludge metal, though Windstein himself has admitted a dislike for the term. The band has also covered songs from outside of their immediate genre; these include Gary Wright’s “Dream Weaver” on Equilibrium, Iron Maiden’s “Remember Tomorrow” on Odd Fellows Rest, and Led Zeppelin’s “No Quarter” on Crowbar.

New Orleans’ EYEHATEGOD is the snarling, bilious sound of dead-end America. Since 1988, they’ve been a soundtrack for the troubled masses. Ugly music for ugly times. That’s the sense of disenchantment and disease that lies at the heart of their latest and sixth full-length album, A History of Nomadic Behavior. Anyone familiar with EHG’s story knows this is survivor’s music, a sound unto itself where Sabbathian riffs are meted out with caustic anger that goes beyond punk. That’s been the blueprint since guitarist Jimmy Bower (also of NOLA supergroup, Down) founded the band in 1988, with vocalist Michael IX Williams joining not long after. With a discography including sludge-punk mainstays like In the Name of Suffering (1990), Take as Needed for Pain (1993), Dopesick (1996), or 2014’s eponymously-titled LP, released in the US through Housecore Records, EHG laid the cracked foundation for their infamous and influential sound. A History of Nomadic Behavior finds the band, now slimmed to a four-piece rounded out by bassist Gary Mader and drummer Aaron Hill, leaner and meaner than ever; road-hardened by recent tours with Black Label Society, Corrosion of Conformity, and Napalm Death in the US and abroad. From the bitter pill of opener “Built Beneath the Lies” to the hypnotic haze of closer “Every Thing, Every Day,” it’s clear that EYEHATEGOD hasn’t slowed or mellowed with time. It’s quite the opposite. This is disorienting, uneasy listening. Music that still very much hurts.

Bleeth’s visceral post-metal sound is grounded in sludgy grime of heavy, driving riffs. The Miami-based Cuban-American band formed in 2015, and is composed of bassist Ryan Rivas, guitarist Lauren Palma, and drummer Hector Mojeno.

Bleeth’s first full length album Geomancer was released via Anti-Language Records (Los Angeles) on August 24, 2018.

Their 2nd full length harbinger marked a shift in a new direction—shorter and faster than past records, with particular emphasis on atypical tunings and arrangements. Bleeth signed with Seeing Red Records to release their sophomore album “Harbinger” in May 2021. SRR is a renowned independent label known for its dedication to heavy music. The album delves into themes of internal struggles with faith, societal structures, and the unknown future.

The success of “Harbinger” took Bleeth on multiple tours throughout the United States playing shows with the likes of Caveman Cult, Wrong, ASG, Weedeater, Capsule, Maggot Heart, Messa, Daikaiju, Portrayal of Guilt, Dead City Punx, Crowbar, Spirit Adrift, among others. Bleeth went back in the studio to record their forthcoming album “Marionette.” The album deals with fear of control, the self, and manipulation through injustice. The album represents the invisible double of the human, from a dual perspective: It’s an emotional and sonic journey that delves into duality—the tension between light and dark, freedom and oppression. The album is set to be released on May 29 in 2025.
